Tough luck for Roj, he has to deal with the Donnster in 1R.
1R matchups of note: Almagro vs Sexxxpanek Socko vs Flo Mayer Goffin vs Berdych Giraldo vs Raonic Kohlschreiber vs Llodra Dimitrov vs Paire Malisse vs Isner Gulbis vs Haas Anderson vs Ferrer Del Potro vs Nalbandian Benneteau vs Rochus
If you accept that the Ferrer quarter is the friendliest for a non-top-4 seed, an opportunity for Isner / Tipsarevic / Gasquet / Haas / etc., and a putative break for Djokovic.

Poor Donny. Time for a new career. Maybe he has a sister Marie he can start singing with.
Those are some nice r1 matches*! I think I'm ready to be tennis-head again.
*I do not include Malisse vs Isner in this group!

Did Fat Dave secretly accept a punishment of drawing top 8 seeds in Slam 1Rs over suspension?
LOL @ Federer/Young. 17-match losing streak meets 17 Slams. Triple bagel?
I want to watch Dimitrov/Paire!

BTW, I've been watching a bit of Gojowczyk/Williams. Gojowczyk is one of the most useless players I've ever seen.

What do we think of Goffin vs Berdych? I'm not sure if Goffin is good enough to win that on his own terms but Berdych has been terrible in Slams this year.

I think if Berdych loses it will be because of . He's played every week since Wimby, and he's pointlessly fatiguing himself in NC this week (although he seems to be playing better, having avenged his Olympics loss to Goffin's compatriot Darcis).

I definitely think that Fed got the raw end of the deal drawing Murray in his half. And I do agree with the above posters that the time just feels right for Andy to win one finally. However, the universe has a way of spiting Andy Murray.
I hope for Fed's sake that Fish takes out Simon for him. Fed might not get as far as Murray if he has to play the diminutive Frenchman.
I guess Milos is a potential obstacle for Andy? He does have a win over him. But wasn't that at Barcelona? Andy could not have been very motivated for that one.
Tsonga might have trouble with Chardy?
The Ferrer section seems ripe for an upset even before you figure in David's habitual Slam underperformance. Just please not a third Youzhny semifinal run!
Who is Rhyne Williams? Serena and Venus' girly younger brother?
Curses that Roddick got that section. I could almost see a hideous QF run coming out of that, just the same as last year. But no, Monaco will probably deal with him.
So ... Djokovic has a really easy draw. I expect to see him in the final for sure.
I think Fed wins this. He beat Djokovic and Murray consecutively at Wimbledon and I think he can do it here too.

Yep. Even though I've gone with the Muzza Slam in the prediction, this really is Federer's Slam to lose. If you look at his losses here from 2004 when he started winning, those were all matches he could have/should have won - JMDP in '09 and Nole the last two years. That would've been insane though - 8 straight titles lol.
