Ugh, a taste of what announcers and media will be like if Robson ends up being any good. Which she won't. I know. And can you imagine in Britain? It's going to be insane. And the whole USO crowd was cheering for her, too. Poor Sammy, unloved defending champion! Of course they might only have cheered for her because she dismissed Kim. Yes, that's what I'm choosing to think.

I can't believe I actually thought for a second that Masha vs Nadezhda could be exciting. Isn't it? Scoreboard was exciting when it was 4-1 Nadya in the 2nd. Of course that lasted about 5 seconds until reality returned to torture us.

Petrova should know it had nothing to do with luck. It was, once again, her inability to close a big match. Losing serve straightaway upon resumption from 40-15 up was a classic moment for sure.
It suddenly hit me that the SEWTA suckage is not merely confined to crappy #1's who drop like rocks after they lose the ranking. It's the 3275782 other players like Sveta and Petrova and Chak who also don't last at the top but never reached #1.
I am 100% behind Stosur. I hope she demolishes Vika. But the opposite thing will happen.
