If the USTA is smart, which they're not, they'll try finishing both men's matches ASAP. The women's final won't be played until Sunday.

I could actually see Azza having a chance if Serena has one of her weird USO freezes, which would not have been the case for Shazza. I don't think she'll struggle to win games.
I am likely to either be sunbathing in the park or at a house party when all of these matches are being played, oh well.

Last year the schedule really fucked with Serena and she came out flat in the final - don't know if it'll happen this time around. I'm looking forward to some DRAMA!11~ and maybe a "unattractive on the inside" part II.

Schedule above is incorrect; USO web site shows the first SF starting at 11:00.
NEW YORK — Hoping to avoid a fifth consecutive Monday finish, the U.S. Open is moving the start of the men's semifinals to an hour earlier than usual.
The tournament decided Friday that Saturday's play will begin at 11 a.m. EDT, instead of noon, because of rain in the forecast.

Okay so this is what happened:
Shocker here. Murray plays a perfect point to save BP and his hat fell off. Maria awards him the point. Berdych goes ballistic. Murray: "Are you 100% sure?" to Berdych. Says if Berdych is 100% sure he'll replay the point. Berdych says yes. They replay the point. Class from Murray. (Courtney Nguyen SI.COM)

The ump made the wrong call. Good on Muzza for making that right though he was pissy or whatever. And Luke Jensen and everyone on CNNSI going on about how Berdych didn't have a play or get affected. It doesn't MATTER. Open the fucking rule book. Geez.

Comment From Ali It's the right call though - if anything falls on the court, replay the point. Those are the rules. That's like when people complained with Serena being called on a footfault at a crucial point: the rules are the rules, no matter what point of the match.
1:00
Courtney Nguyen: I believe the rule is that it has to distract the opponent, actually. That's why Murray asked Berdych if he was sure it distracted him. I've seen instances where balls fall out of skirts or shorts right as the ball is being struck for a winner where the umpire does not call a let.
