Sergei Bubka injured in fall Updated: 07:11, Friday November 2, 2012
Ukrainian tennis player Sergei Bubka was taken to hospital in the early hours of Thursday after falling three floors from a window, according to French reports.
The website of RMC radio said he was locked inside a bathroom when he opened the window and tried to reach an adjacent window and fell.
The report said he was taken to Georges-Pompidou Hospital in Paris and treated for multiple fractures.
The 25-year-old, ranked 186th, is the son of pole vaulting great Sergei Bubka - the only athlete to have won six world championships in the same individual discipline, from 1983 to 1999. He also took gold at the 1988 Seoul Olympics.

Jesus. Horrible. Apparently the injuries aren't life-threatening but for a while the doctors weren't sure about that. Next time perhaps just make some noise when you're locked in a bathroom like normal people, Sergei.

Damn! Glad he's going to be alright but yeah make some noise, or try breaking down the door?

I wonder what the story is here. I think the report is a bit incomplete. Nobody would do that, would they? Not for that reason.
