This is absurd. Caroline has always been edgy, yet no responses from the Williams camp or anything before. Sounds like some needless frustration from the elite few. Boredom at its finest. This is a note for the Tour.
Caro will be Caro and sure could use a boost mentally, but this is nothing to be riled up about.
If Serena is really focused, which we'll find out in about a month, she'll be #1 by the time the AO concludes. This should fire her up more, though.
This did NOTHING for the rest of the top 10 aside from Serena.
If I were a fellow competitor not named Williams I'd be shaking in my sneakers hoping this doesn't light a fire under Rena.

I can't believe this story made the mainstream media. Slow news day? I note how few articles mentioned that it was an exo, or that Serena was THERE and had no problem with it, or that Roddick and Djokovic have done the exact same imitation of Serena before with no backlash.
Wozniacki is so horribly unfunny, though.

(Except I never bothered to check any mainstream media to see what they were saying, so I only know about that from your tweets. In fact I only know about this whole non-event from Twitter and Wertheim's column.) Now that I think about it, it's actually impossible to imagine Caroline saying or doing anything funny! But I hate the anti-Caro venom I see (not here). Now that she's where she belongs in the rankings, I don't get why anyone still bothers wasting energy hating her. All the hate makes me want to root for her, and I kind of do, except when I actually end up watching her play an important match.  |

Faves of other relevant players have never taken her seriously, while she's generally unlikeable with her obvious bullshit and desperate to please off the court. I struggle to see how Karolina is different from Kim, except she's fairly cute instead of butt ugly. So, I don't know. |

Karolina is so easy to laugh at, even when you're not actively looking for reasons to mock her, whether that's constantly doing and saying try-hard, dumb shit or her on-court moaning and sulking that shows up her Sunshineyness as phoney, or Piotr's endless antics. Or, just her game. Her FH is still good for several IRL LOL moments in every match.

I don't know. She got top court placement at all the slams this year, too. BAG got similar treatment as a former #1 because she's "so pretty", but Karolina *shrug*.
