At the USO, Muzza had the extra day off - over here it's the other way round. I doubt that is going to matter. Muzza has cruised so far and this match, in the evening heat, is not really a marathon grind-fest. If Murray can win this in 5. IF... I don't think it will necessarily be a bad thing going into the final. Mentally he'd have won two five setters against two GOATS in his past two Slams. I think that could count for something. I don't think the scheduling is the big deal it's ever made out to be.

Well, that was nice.
Happy for Andy. Stopped the whining in the fifth, and Fed pretty much collapsed. Andy stayed strong and took the match to Roger, which is so refreshing after all these years of total flops.
Nole could well be too good in the final, but Andy will definitely have his chances. I go with Lex's 60-40 in Nole's favour.

Well, that was a great match. No doubt. I can't wait for the rematch on grass at Wimbledon. I guess we can always wish the fifth set was closer but I think Fed was spent. Hopefully Nole titles here. Or ... wait, maybe I don't know if I want that.

• Murray on whether he’ll be able to physically recover for Sunday’s final. Djokovic will have had a full extra day’s rest:
You know, realistically you’re probably not going to feel perfect because of how the match went tonight, but it’s not to say you can’t recover well enough to play your best tennis.
• Federer picks his favorite for the final:
Obviously Novak goes in as the favorite, I would think, even though Andy beat him at the U.S. Open.
