Luksika! First senior event outside Asia/Australia?
Tammy's first event of the year, too. Thought she might have retired.
Heh, Lurch vs Sexy Lexy.

Did she lose to Stevenson?!?!?!?

She won only four games. You'd expect even Diamond Jackson to do better.

Kumkhum and Tanasugarn lost too

Sexy Lexy beat Pous Tio and is one win away from her first WTA MD since Charleston 2008 Her Q3 opponent is big-hitting Crawford, but Sexy Lexy actually won their only meeting last year

First SEWTA main draw for Jovana Jaksic (SRB) And this is the first time she's playing anything above 25K level!

Jaksic has won seven Turkish 10Ks in the past seven months Goes to show that racking up the wins and confidence can pay off, I guess. Is she the one who had the infamous showdown with Curovic in India? Dushevina is not the toughest 1R for her, either.

Isn't Jaksic the one with the stupid grunt?

Vekic survived a close 2nd set against Cohen. If she had managed to lose that match I'd have to give up on that whole generation! Jaksic playing now; maybe I'll look for a feed to check out that grunt.

There is a commercial on Tennis Channel where they show nodes being placed all over your body as you serve so that it can make a computer-generated image of you, and from that your coach can view it and show you where to tweak your positions or whatnot.
The player in the commercial is a tiny, buff, teenage girl with what I call a "croup" grunt (think Venus Williams). So...yeah. Welcome to the doooooollhoooooouse

LOOOOOOOOOOL @ BAG, she managed to lose to endlessly slumping Babos Good for Timea, she needs points! FSG d. Witchmayer 64 36 61. Good over evil. Gotta say, Vekic losing to U-Rad is a disappointing result.

EEEE-YAAA-ksic managed to take a set off Makiri. That's respectable. She got crushed in the remaining two, but hey.

Now in full Anyone But Kirilenko mode. I need Angie's back to not bother her or Chunkova not to be an idiot or, most hopefully, FSG to take Title No 2.

So Babos isn't going to defend this title after all, despite that AI beatdown. Oh, well. Go Care Bear!

FSG lost to Pavs, but at least Anyone But Kirilenko has ensued. Care Bear vs. A-Pav for the title. Pav won their only meeting in Brisbane this year and will probably win this.

It did indeed happen that way. Pav is now 15 for 15 in Monterrey - three titles for her now in Mexico.
