I've never been a proper fan of Beth but she's great fun to watch. Lots of moxie and pluck and variety. In stark contrast to her terrible opponent.

Ma$ha is compiling quite a clay record while bullshitting through these FIGHTERRR!1 matches.

She has a 19-match red clay winning streak. That's only 5 less than Justine's longest.
And yes, she had a loss to Serena on blue (LOL) clay. But during Justine's 24-match streak, she had a loss to Patty (LOL) on green clay.

Na will take over as CLAY QUEEN this year. Masha will be second best though, regularly featuring in SF and F.

This year's CLAY QUEEN has apparently not yet received the memo.

Damn you, Safarova, BAG and Care Bear. And damn you, Azza, for retiring due to extreme injuries at Rome '11, that was the tournament that marked the end of the Cow on Ice.

Agjhdkdlfhbffflwe nothing in tennis annoys me more than Sharapova a) winning, b) winning on clay, c) winning in extra-irritating style by bullshitting three-setters all the way to the final then suddenly pulling a pretty great performance out of her ass over the best player she faced all week, d) winning those last two matches against players I love. JUST GO AWAY MA$HA.

And damn you too Stosur for failing to serve it out against Masha last year at Stuttgart despite not having had a single BP against you in the match up to that point. That's where this monstrous red claycourt streak started.

In short, the whole SEWTA is guilty for letting this happen.

You lot sound like the "Hingis took advantage of a weak era!", "Graf only won 22 Slams because of stabbing!" types. I mean... I get it, but meh. "ClayPova" retooled her game completely to become more successful on clay, so I am going to give her some respect for that. Weak era or not. You can basically say that about anyone winning any Slam nowadays anyway.

"ClayPova" retooled her game completely to become more successful on clay But she didn't. She plays barely any differently to how she's always played. She's definitely a better mover, and that's key, but it's hardly among the best on tour.

Her game is quite different now to her pre-surgery one: lots more spin/net clearance on her forehand side being the main one. She doesn't really have those killer flat FHs like before. Just generally her game is more high percentage. Kind of like the opposite of what Nadal did with his game to win the US Open.
