Pony disposes of two B2B hyped brats, Harrison and Tomic. Haas struggling through three-setters vs Smyczek and I Do Dig but makes the QF, if Grisha shows up that could be an interesting match next. What happened to Nishikori to lose so heavily to Baghdatis? Raonic losing to Matosevic is a shocker, too.
QFs:
(1) Juan Martin DEL POTRO (ARG) vs. (7) Kevin ANDERSON (RSA) (3) Tommy HAAS (GER) vs. (11) Grigor DIMITROV (BUL) Dmitry TURSUNOV (RUS) vs. Marinko MATOSEVIC (AUS) (8) John ISNER (USA) vs. (16) Marcos BAGHDATIS (CYP)
I hope Dimitrov and Tursunov are reprising their infamous photo...

This is turning out to be a good tournament! JMDP disposing of Tomic so easily was a high point. Good luck to Haas today; things don't seem to be coming as easily for him lately. Don't know what's going on with poor Mardy.

Matosevic started cramping in his leg and racquet hand at 3-1 up in the third set TB - a stroke of luck for Tursunov, who'd spent most of that set bashing aimlessly and idiotically.

The final was awesome! Rarely have I seen someone trash Isner's serve like Del Potro did in the last two sets.

It's partly because Isner's a big moper when he gets broken, but Delpo was really impressive. It helps that he's so tall and negates the kicker, but it took a fine strategy and a change from his normal return style to succeed like he did. I hope Pony keeps it up, the tour will really need him.
