We should have a CULT tournament. At Wimbledon. With the Middle Sunday tradition in place.

I can't hit a reliable flat BH DTL. I either somehow curve it towards the middle of the court or go to close to the ball(think MJMS backhand, only with much worse outcome) and hit it in the net. On a rare occasion one of those BH do go over the net, but it's more about luck than the right technique.
Any ideas how to fix that?

I don't want to hinder the thread, I merely want to move it out of non-tennis.
Okay?

Chloe I don't think anyone would object to the thread moving!
Guys, re: the backhand I wish I could help but it's my weaker wing too. I do know that when I hit a one hander it was a lot more successful when I hit through the ball rather than bunting or blocking it back because my follow through didn't extend the entire way. With the two hands the swing doesn't come naturally to me. Could those be reasons you are struggling?or is it a timing thing where you find you're not in position to hit the ball and so end up mistiming your shot? That would be footwork. Either way that damned sweet spot is being missed.

I think it's my body position. Instead of moving forwards and get my body weight behind the shot, I hit the ball moving sideways. It still is a powerful shot that rarely misses but it also causes the ball going either crosscourt or down the middle.
I also keep alternating between a two-handed backhand, one handed top spin and a slice. Makes my game look cute but error-prone, heh.
