Poor St. Pete! Post-Davis Cup week is not the a week to look for the stars (such as they are) to shine.

Tursanov lost to Sousa. So we have the oddball SFs Przysiezny v last seed standing Gulbis, and GGL v Sousa.

Apparently this happened in Gulbis's presser: Myskina asked him if he deliberately played a lot of high balls to BA's backhand. Gulbis: "Yes, because he's got no talent and can't do a thing with the ball". Then Myskina asked him about the squeaky shoes (BA wasn't happy with the sound and Ernests got a warning for it). Gulbis: "My opponent was like a little spoiled princess. He knows I'm better than him in everything so he just needed an excuse there".

Oh, well, at least he's not your typical over-media-trained robot.
