I don't think Fed needs to hang it up, but I do think he should ditch Annacone now. Drop him, hire someone fresh, and work on coming back strong in 2014. I guess so. I have no ideas for him whatsoever. Maybe hire Carlos Rodriguez?

Is JohnnyMac a drunk tweeter? He's used "let's be honest" in 3 of his last 5 tweets. I don't follow him, but he came up in my feed when I was looking at tweets related to Robredo and Federer.

Today Diana Nyad completed her swim from Cuba to Florida. She's been trying to do this for 35 YEARS, and is now 64! Makes Robredo's upset look kind of normal. And makes Federer look so very young.

Ignore my question, that was a joke account, not his real account. I'm sort of like everybody's grandma when it comes to twitter, you see.

Federer said that he feels like he beat himself, because apparently he's been taking interview prep classes from Serena.

Ha! That Twitter, so nuts.
So the latest news is that Wuss won set 2 over Raonic! Both tb sets, of course. What a night! Only Fit Dave playing to form.

Ugh, Raonic and Gassy is such an unsexy match. I'm going back to Tipsarevic and Ferrer.

I can't believe I forgot that PK is the one who took out Isner!
But Rafa the sleeping giant has awakened. Goodbye, Phil, it's been so nice.

Well, I'm probably wrong in thinking it should be Raonic's. I seem to have been wrong about PK, because he held serve after all. I like him. Wish GoDom would stop by & watch his compatriot with us.

One thing I like about men's tennis is the way they -- or most of them -- just go to it. They get a ball and just serve. None of this ritual walking about, turning backward, staring at strings, hopping up & down blah blah.
But then there's Rafa ...

Djokovic has gotten a bit better. When they showed his tiebreak from two years ago I couldn't believe how many times he bounced the ball between serves. Ridiculous.
Anyway, I suspect Nadal will pull this out in the end, which is good. However, it's also sad. Nadal pulling this out would deprive us of me spending the next several days typing: FITDAVE!TWOTIMESLAMFINALIST!WOOT

Unless Fitdave is already a two time slam finalist and I missed one of them.

Yes, and Nole. Oh, well, I'm off to bed. As Luke Jensen (I think it's him) said, PK doesn't BELIEVE. Neither do I, PK. Good night and good luck.

Milos needs one more set for his first Slam QF ...
This bad year he was having sure turned around awfully quickly.

PK: Keep on not believing!
Raonic up 2-1 sets on Gassy. I still can't be bothered to tune in. I might go run on the treadmill soon.

Milos needs one more set for his first Slam QF ... It's going to be tough. Gassy is quite the competitor. His intensity was overwhelming me, so I had to turn it off.

Gasquet has that hideous 4th round record, right? Something like 1-17?

Something like that. Gasquet is exceptionally lame and it would be a disappointment for Raonic to not take this.

Gasquet, even more than Nadal, really ought to let the hair phase of his life go and shave what's left of it off.

Raonic got the break and should finish this shortly. I'm going to go treadmill now.
I don't see Raonic beating Ferrer next round, but at QF is a good show for him.

Indeed. Lame stuff, Raonic. I'm still going to treadmill now, and then watch a comedy roast full of incredibly douchey people.
I have faith that Raonic will not lose this. If he does, TTR!

Gasquet has taken the lead in the fifth. If he were a real player, I'd suggest that this were the end.

I can't be bothered to open up a feed for this because I'm too busy watching rich people make fun of each. Also, I assume that this match sucks. Am I wrong?
