Uh-oh, bad start for Stan in this game ... is he ready to crumble? The announcers think so, and seem to hope so. They pointed to Andy "bounding from his chair" as the latest sign of the inevitable turnaround.

WOW! A second break!! I'm sorry, Ali, but this is making me so happy! For Stan, who's had too many heartbreaker matches this year

Oh, double fault again (instead of 2nd serve ace)

How nice for Stan to be able to serve at 5-2. Henin so often used to lose this game, then serve it on on her 2nd try. So I'm going to try not to get too nervous if Andy breaks for the first time in the match, right here

Stan wins!! Played brilliantly after 0-30, and the whole match obviously! Biggest upset of the tournament?
Just remembered british commentators proclaiming how it's Djokovic/Murray era now, and Roger and Rafa were left behind.

Why do people not see what Stan's doing out there! Anyway, of course, Andy did play horribly. I say, Stan made him do so.

Brad Gilbert is awful at this post-match interview job. He truly is. I think I've seen 2 or 3 of those, and that's more then enough. For some reason he also asks everyone if they will be watching their opponent's match later on or they will have their coach do it.

Lady I'm so glad you showed up! This was too much fun to watch all alone. So happy for Stan to have it finally happen! LOL, knowing Andy's matches I thought I had more then enough time to tune in after I saw him losing the 1st set. Then what felt like 20minutes later I saw that he already lost the 2nd one, so I knew I had to show up. While I looked for the stream it was already 3-1 in the 3rd. It was a very fast match!

STAN STAN STAN
I would have posted, but my mom was using the computer.
I saw a Murray comeback happening right until Stan went up 2-0 sets. Stan isn't a choker that I know of, so I figured he was okay from there. Maybe I was wrong on that assumption, but for this particular match it worked. So, YAY.

Brad Gilbert is awful at this post-match interview job. I love how the players rarely answer any of the questions they're asked. Anyway, two awesome results today. It's good.

Wawrinka played Djokovic at the USO last year in the round of 16 but had to retire, so I guess he'll get another shot at him. Or Youzhny, but really most likely Djokovic.
Good thing we got some fun QF results to even out what will surely be the predictable final matchup of Nadal-Djokovic.

STAN STAN STAN I would have posted, but my mom was using the computer. But you stopped in to say you were watching, so that was pretty much the same as posting. Knowing that other Stan fans from The Cult weren't missing this was excellent!

Stan is a part of 2 out of 3 my favourite non-Nadal matches this year. Stan vs Djokovic AO, Stan vs Gasquet (Was it Wim?) and the 3rd one is Djoko-Delpo (definitely Wim), so I'm very happy for him. Hopefully we'll see something similar to their AO match in the SF.

Stan and Gasquet was at RG. I think that I"m still mad at Gassy for blowing that, because I left when he was two sets up. Had I known what was coming, I'd have stayed to see all the smoking French people get sad.

Had I known what was coming, I'd have stayed to see all the smoking French people get sad. It had such a outstanding shot-making late in the 5th. They were both playing so brilliantly, and Gassy saved so many break points with just remarkable points, so he earned my tentative respect that day. That's why i'm so forgiving of him, heh.

I'm really happy and unsurprised that Stan is the beneficiary of Murray's post-Wim slump. Dude was losing sets to Leonardo Mayer and Denis Istomin having been pretty shit all summer for a very understandable reason, he was never gonna repeat.
For some reason I never get round to looking up the actual Murray/Wawrinka H2H but I'm pretty sure Stan's given him hell many times.
I'd love a Wawrinka/Gasquet final...but if Rafa wins I have to cheer for Nole as The Only Hope.

Apparently Murray was in the room to give his post match comments before Stan even finished his oncourt interview. Probably not even state side by this point! Where was that speed and determination this afternoon, Murray?
