No Knapp for me! TV off. Fast-footed Carla all the way.

Carla will be playing on my big tv, thanks to a handy cable. Take that, Ma$ha-loving Tennis Channel!

Huh, one court only has heat rule in effect right now?
Anyway, this match is okay. Never seen Vosko before. She moves well for a very tall girl. Both players spacing out at times.

Eurosport is acting like live action hasn't started yet, showing Wilander's stupid show instead. Eurosport 2 is, of course, showing Sharapova. Yanwzzzzzzz.

No livestreams there? I was hoping someone could tell me why Halep is down 0-3 to Lepchenko. --- make that 0-4

Diyas takes the first set, woohoo! Wish I could watch that. I'm a little bored by Carla-Vosko. Might check out Donnie Ever Young

Oh, good, Seppi and Halep are fighting back.

Even if Halep ends up beating a corpse ...

Well how about that? Knapp takes the 2nd set. Maybe she likes the heat? Wish I could believe she could keep it up, but even this is pretty good.

Every year I forget how terrible the Australian media is. Holy shit, the drama. SERENA SWEARS OFF COMPLAINING ABOUT THE WEATHER AFTER HELLACIOUS CONDITIONS TURN AREA INTO HADES' PLAYGROUND. Not the exact words, but along those lines.

Haha! Silly Aussies. The questions at the PCs are also awful, though, who knows who's asking them.
Meanwhile, I just discovered that Diyas ROUTED Erakovic in that 2nd set; final score 64 60. 27W to 15UE. Not bad!

I will likely join one of these threads on the weekend, when I actually watch. Until then I will just acknowledge daily that there is tennis happening I cannot watch. Timezones.

Yes I promise to be more active on the weekends too. In other news, did anyone see the video of Wozniacki serving on the AO website/app? Haha.

I'll probably watch and post less at the weekend! Unless I cancel all plans. I'll be out for the start of play and will wake up later...
I think this might be the first time the extreme heat policy has been implemented that I recall.
Conflicted between laughing at Sharapova going 10-8 with Knapp and irritation that Sharapova still won.
Very happy about the long-awaited Diyas breakthrough. Third round!

Jon Wertheim jon_wertheim 4m Donald Young into round three - and a winnable match against Nishikori awaits. Oh, American media, just stop this nonsense.

Play suspended for lightning just hours after it was suspended for extreme heat.

And choked. DF on BP when serving for the match. Like Bouchard, Stephens' mentality is the most impressive part of her game.
We do get our all-LL R3 match though! Klizan vs. Robert for a spot in the second week.

Q. Your opponent today, just 16, young girl. NA LI: 16 or 17? 16? Okay. My half age, yeah (Laughter.) Yes?
Q. Did that make you feel like an old lady? NA LI: No, I think I'm mostly young in this room, right? (Laughter.)

Play suspended for lightning just hours after it was suspended for extreme heat. Oh! So that explains why so many matches are still going on now. Delpo's in trouble, folks ...

Delpo was down a break in the 3rd but took the set 7-5, now in the 4th ... Murray, meanwhile was in some faux trouble, down 1-5 in the 3rd, but his opponent is collapsing just as you'd expect.
That's what was so surprising about the Knapp match, how she came back from a break down in the 3rd to drag that match out for so long. Hate the ending, though!

Sure enough, Millot of the Hidden World loses his serve at love, SEWTA style, and we're at 4-5 Murray. Oh, well, still fun to have live tennis on tv at this hour of the day, which is technically Day 5.

Holy crap! This is unreal. 2013 Junior AO champ just won the 2nd set! 2 set lead over Paire. This is such great stuff. And now tv goes to Delpo who has a BP here in the 4th set ... but hits his FH long ...
