Mine doesn't say that he is? Well, not anymore. But he has been for many minutes during the speech and later on. I noticed other people commented about this as well. No one knew why, lol. I mean I could have clicked on his name to find out, but I was too lazy to do it.

One thing is clear after today, there totally should be more polls.

Must be a great feeling that his decision to impregnate his wife and then leaving her to focus on tennis turned out the way it just did... Seriously!! I knew he left his wife, but had no idea he did to focus on his tennis! WTF?? I thought they just split, so I was shocked to hear the reason just now. Wow! Maybe with the check that Stan gets for winning AO, she can demand a raise in child support and alimony.

I think it has to do with Nadal crying during the ceremony and people remembered the criticism that Federer had gotten for doing the same years back in the Fedal final.

WHAT? Oh, wait, Rafa was injured? That's no good. Will have to go back and read the posts. I was going to watch the taped match, but I don't want to see Rafa hurting. Must be a great feeling that his decision to impregnate his wife and then leaving her to focus on tennis turned out the way it just did... Horrible, but they got back together a year later. And I think they're together still. If Rafa had to get injured and lose, I'm glad Stan could be the one to benefit.

Well, Rafa didn't even try to return Stan's serve in that game, so 3-1 and he's trying not to stretch himself, now he's barely serving. So either rafa will magically heal and start running or this will end by retirement. It's still so anticlimactic now, bleh. Oh. Shit. Such a shame to happen to such a great champion. But I'll remember all the jinxers, including you, janie! I would never!

There was no atmosphere after Rafa got injured. It was switching between different level of sadness, one moment you feel sad that Rafa can't really move or serve/return, the next moment you're sad for Stan cause he can't capitalize on Rafa's situation. Sounds miserable! I'm going back for more sleeps. Yeah, glad now that I didn't get up and watch.

By the way, have we now lost Alex to Twitter, too? I notice he didn't drop here by for either final. If he's gone for good, this could be final doom for us.

Now I have none.

I have to assume that he used tennis as an excuse and wanted a divorce for another reason... And then he had a change of heart.

I still don't really get twitter. I mean, it's sort of shit, right?
Anyway, I missed Nadal crying at the ceremony. I'm not going to give him a hard time about that, because he doesn't have a history of being a poor loser. Frustration tears are allowed. Federer tears are not.

He didn't cry much, it was just when someone mentioned him being 'flat on his back' lol And he was standing in the background at that moment so... He also cried in his towel after the match, and then upon entering a locker room and then got misty in the press-conferense, but it was not on camera and he only allowed 1 question regarding his back and asked to focus on Stan's victory instead, so for my stanning heart he was pretty classy.

Yay for Stan. I've liked him for a long time. Good to see him have his day.

I still don't really get twitter. I mean, it's sort of shit, right? I think it's very fun for people who: a) have a lot to say; b) want to say it to a large number of people; and c) don't really care about looking into the "past", say, a match they missed a few hours earlier, to see the comments made by others, because those comments have way moved down and aren't easy to find. For people with a job in the public like Alex and other journalists, I think it must be great to put their views out there and get instant feedback from their public. Then for people with some particular interest they want to keep up with, it's the best place to go for hearing the very latest news and information on that topic. So that's what I use it for. For interacting with others, you know, back and forth, it hasn't worked very well for me. So I don't expect that any more from it. -- out-of-date views of a person far out of the demographic that Twitter is meant for

There's a lot more people on Twitter, you can filter out who/what you want. That being said, it still sucks.

Twitter is a gigantic messageboard with only one thread. Of course it sucks. Even if you're ultra selective, the people you follow will more often than not tweet about stuff you don't care about.

I always tweet stuff that my few followers don't care about, like the fact that the International Space Station is flying over, or what opera is on at the Met in NYC. Anyway, Alex will be back. I'm so relieved! Lady also scared me recently by briefly disappearing; I guess I'm just on edge about the fate of our tiny Cult.

One good thing about Twitter: I see Brinyi there now and then. And since we are old and not in the know Twitter-wise, we converse back and forth there a little bit.

I like Twitter for some things, but for tennis stuff and random Internet chat, I still get what I need from you guys. Except for the occasional laugh at rolls, in which case I go to the other worlds.
Feel free to be touched by that statement.
