ESPN is going back and forth between the 2 men's semis, which is fine with me right now. Rafa seems a little defensive against scary Davide, and Davide gets the early break. Come on, Rafa, this is RG, not Monte Carlo!

Come on, Rafa, this is RG, not Monte Carlo! Rafa on track now. And this match might be the more interesting one after all, if Mawfeess doesn't manage to get his fire lit.

Rafa is not winning RG this year. He looks sad and out of ideas on court. and kinda slow. and his serve is non-existant.

What, he lost the first set while I was away? Wow, I didn't expect that; I thought he was turning it around. He has to take over this match with authority right now, and I don't see that happening right now ... at least he holds. Now break and feel like a king again, Rafa.

I think Rafa sensed Daveed getting nervous and that gave Rafa some of his old RG Rafa-ness back. Takes the 2nd set and I think he'll win at least this round.

Ferrer is hitting forehands all over the place now.
Nadal had a lot of up and down during the clay season but he still has to be the favourite.
PS: Kimmy won. She should come back!!!1

Rafa seizing the day now (no jinx intended, Lady! Just stating the fact of this moment only! ) No problem I just don't see him winning the tournament in this form. Not against Novak, and might not even against Andy. Hopefully he'll finish the match like the previous set today, at least.

Ferrer is a disaster now. Mofees is finally looking like he cares.
Watching Ballsgate on Eurosport UK was the best: rowdy French crowd vs. Bitchy UK commentators.

I hate when the crowd does "Pawwww pa pa pa pa pa paaa". Me, too. But it's kids day! So I expect it. The wheels have sure come off for Daveed now, haven't they. How great for Rafa if he doesn't have to come back tomorrow to finish this.

Even if Nadal is playing like crap, there is no way he's gonna lose to Murray (if he even wins).

I missed Ballsgate! What happened? Muzza was serving at 5-1 40-40 in the second set. That game had already gone on for over 7 minutes (it was almost longer than the rest of the set) and Muzza had about 7 set points to that point and everyone just wanted the set to be over already. In the middle of the point, the spare ball in Muzza's pocket fell out, the umpire called hindrance and he hit the next forehand into the net. They were going to replay the point. The crowd started whistling loudly, Gael got upset, he thought that Andy's next shot was going into the net anyway and the errant ball hadn't affected it. Gael stopped and sat down in his chair, all the while gesticulating at the umpire. The crowd kept whistling. Andy went up to see what the trouble was, the umpire came down, talked to them both, Andy said he heard the umpire's hindrance call before he hit his next shot so of course it affected his forehand, Gael disagreed. The umpire changed his decision and gave the point to Monfils. The crowd got amped up even more, cheering a first serve miss by Andy. Andy ended up winning the game and the set. The British commentators got all shady saying how the umpire shouldn't change decisions based on a player's opinion, they showed the ball-falling replay a bunch of times and kept talking about it into the start of the next set. This was the long and boring version of what happened.

Even if Nadal is playing like crap, there is no way he's gonna lose to Murray (if he even wins). He's not losing to THIS Murray, anyway. Super-happy to see Rafa end so strongly, but disappointing for Fit Dave. Would have liked to see him be more competitive -- as long as Rafa could still have finished today, of course.

In those cases I'm always glad when the player who was shafted wins the game; after that, I don't care any more. But I didn't see this point, so maybe Gael was right.

Monfils really can't concentrate for longer than 2 sets in a row, can he.

Isn't it unusual to start a set at that time of the day? I'm not sure if they did so because Monfils had the momentum...

What a weird match. About Ballsgate, yeah I agree that the ump shouldn't have entertained Gael's tantrum. Once the hindrance call was made, there was no going back because you'd have to split hairs to figure out who was in the right. Gael kept getting egged on by the crowd the ump got nervous and surrendered.

Umpire playbook! It was also hilarious to see an American sell out a Brit and surrender in the face of a Frenchman.

Ha! Yes, we Americans are intimidated by those emotional Frenchies. The ump probably had to resist the urge to run away!

Sharapova over MUG was so NID. Lol. She's going to win this thing playing sloppy, isn't she? And this is what all Slams will look like once Serena retires. But I want Bouchard to win even less. The perfrct outcome would be a Halep d. Sharapova final. Rafa will beat Anduh and lose to Nole much to everyone's disgust.
