Safina's cracking up like a bumpkinette. Hard to believe she managed that comeback the other day when you see her today.

And so much for Safina being no longer a headcase.

Unfortunate collapse from Safina.
Vaidisova is showing a bit more heart.

Not that I'm really anxious for Nicole to win. Venus, even now, is the better player and will probably deliver the better semifinal match.

I'm not sure though if Nici will win the third set 6-2.

I agree that Kuznetsova vs. Venus would be a more attractive semifinal. Venus, however, is playing horribly right now. Maybe so. I'm not watching the match. Venus did come up with great tennis in the latter rounds of Wimbledon which is what I base my statement around. Lemme put it this way. I could see Nicole going down 1 and 1. I think Venus would manage a more competitive showing on her worst day. A rapid 6-1!

1-1. This match would be unwatchable if not for the off-chance of Venus losing. Is that correct English?

Kim is playing great because she doesn't really care how well she does here, so she is mentally very free right now.
