Justine won? Good! ALG is better than I thought, though. From the few points I saw. Nah, Anna-Lena isn't better. She's still wildly inconsistent.

But she IS better than I thought. For some reason I thought she was just another predictable baseline basher. She's a basher, all right, but she also tried to move forward and do something different. Hard to tell, though, since ESPN is making a point of showing as little of Justine's matches as possible. Maybe we'll see more of Teutonic Barbie during Wimbledon.

Vaidisova = the first Czech SFist since Novotna, no? Ahem! Novak! Korda! Ah yes, the famed women's tennis star Petra Korda. Yes, I should have been more specific, FINE.

Ancic not doing badly at all. The women's side has become boring. I'll root for Nicole, Kim, and Sveta. That's it. I can see how boring it will be with only cheering for 3 of the four remaining players. I'm not "cheering" for them. I'll obviously watch because it's tennis and I always watch tennis when I can. Don't care so much about the result so long as Justine doesn't win again. Once Kim beats Justine, there'll be no more rooting.

Nice - Nalby had break-point, Davydenko put a drive-volley metres long but Nalby couldn't get out of the way and the point went to Davydenko. Anger ensued. I died of laughter when I saw that. It was funny. What was ever cooler was Dave smacking his racquet in disgust. It looked awesome!

"Groenefeld spent the changeovers reading a handwritten note. Television close-ups revealed the note contained advice such as 'pump fist before each point', but it failed to produce the desired results." I saw the notes and it reminded me of those sisters from the Ghetto when they'd be reading those notes and losing to this Swiss chick.

Ali, somehow that remark sounded derogatory. It was derogatory.

"Groenefeld spent the changeovers reading a handwritten note. Television close-ups revealed the note contained advice such as 'pump fist before each point', but it failed to produce the desired results." It actually didn't say that, and I wonder about the reading skills of people who think it did. They were clearly two different sentences.

You should also wonder about the reading skills of Grönefeld, since she does pump her fist before every point. Well, very often at least.
