Ugh, I have to listen to Rennae Stubbs babbling how Casey can play with top players. Confidence. Blah blah blah.
If this match isn't fixed...

Shit, get it together Misha. According to the stats, he's hit 2 winners to 17 unforced errors. Yeah, looks like one his can't-find-the-court-god-help-me days.
I can't believe Patty lost! Amelie might like this result.

Who cares about Patty at this point? This woman has been a non-factor for her whole career. She has achieved nothing of note, and this won't change.

Misha's in trouble... most times he tries to attack, error. Not feeling it thus far.
It's frustrating with him and Kolya. They have such little margin for error with their wimpy serves.
Unlike the player who will advance through that quarter, King Ivo!

That's a bit harsh. And she beat Serena in 2002. And would have double bagelled Serena in 2007 if not for the retirement. Those alone are note-worthy.
WTF Misha? I like Seppi, but please if he sends you home you should give up on life.

Many players have beaten Serena. Pretty meaningless imo.
The truth is that Schnyder, despite being immensely talented, hasn't done anything in Grand Slams for 10 years now. She is an awful underachiever, which is no crime. But I take into account her miserable attitude also and overall I have to say she's bad for tennis and we would be better off if she retired.

After that today, we'd be better if Patty retired.
Ivo up 2 breaks in the 4th. Bring out the mercy rule.

Yawn.
The best match to watch is either Misha or Amelie struggling.
Day 1 spoiled us.

Has anyone else mentioned anything about the massive number of bagel sets? Especially on the men's side. There was a TON yesterday.
Today has sucked.
Back to personality trait theory!

She is an awful underachiever, which is no crime. But I take into account her miserable attitude also and overall I have to say she's bad for tennis and we would be better off if she retired. She made the semis of Oz in '04 - I wouldn't call that nothing by any stretch. She also lived up to her Top 10 ranking with QF and R16 consistency for a couple of years. And I don't see how she could be bad for tennis when she offers variety, spin, and talent during an age of blah. So what if she's crabby and flaky. At least she's not another carbon copy cookie cutter ball basher from Eastern Europe. We don't need more of them, we need more Patty Schnyders: lefty nutcases with on-court flair, a history of crazy affairs, and a love of Tropicana!

It's been a bagel fiesta for the men!
I do think the first two days were possibly the best first round of a Ladies Slam ever. I really enjoyed the Venus/Yan match. Those Chinese are so good at redirecting pace and taking the ball early, I have no clue how they do it. Lots of fun points and finally Venus playing well from the start of a big tournament.
I sort of was able to break into 360 today, but it kept freezing so I gave up. I'm sticking to the scoreboard until ESPN2 begins in a half hour. I do wish I could watch Misha battling at one set apiece, but oh well I have to read a book anyway.

Bye bye Schnyder! ;D Good start to the year for clearing out Top 20 deadwood. Safina, Schnyder, Petrova all having terrible Aussie seasons.

Mauresmo blows 10 match points, but finally comes through. And how was that "a great point from Mauresmo" to win it, according to Shriver? Both players keeping it in the court, desperate for the other's error, and Mauresmo half-shanks a backhand just over the net to force a netted reply from the Shved? She was lucky on that point, period, and had she lost that set -- probably that point -- she would have lost the third set worse than 6-0. Like 5-9 even.

Tati is going to lose to Rezai. Ugh.
Why must she be a tard in slams. You know she's going to make the final or something in Paris after this.

Oh God, Elena. From 5-2 to 5-5 against AMG. This could be a long one.

If only one Slam could be indoors for her. I want my Jelena vs. Serena QF. Despite all the talk, Serena has shown vulnerability. Having said that, I wouldn't really want her to beat Serena because then boring ass semifinal loss to Justine, per usual.

Almost time for the night match!
