Federer. Win.

If Roger plays like he has in the last few rounds, especially when struggling with flat pace which Nole will bring consistently with the FH, I like Nole's chances if he doesn't choke.
Two big ifs there, but I have Nole winning this.

Yeah, I'm going with Nole too. I don't think he'll choke - he's still improving so quickly, and I think he'll have learnt from the USO.
I hope the Bond girls take the doubles!

I think it's 50/50.
No wait, 51/49 Federer.

I'm hoping Djokovic comes up with the goods against Federer. But I have my doubts because Nole is young and has the bad memories of losing their 2007 U.S. Open final when he let the first 2 sets slip away. I hope Djokovic gets off to a good start against Federer and gains confidence from it. Udachi Novak!

Women's doubles is on an all-time low. It can't get any worse than that.

Better having good players in the final than shit teams like Black/Huber and Stubbs/Lesbian of the Week in the final because no one else plays.

Better Black/Liezel than AMG/Ruano, who I assume are moonballing from 10 feet behind the baseline.
It's beyond me how both players can stay in the backcourt and DOMINATE at women's doubles...

Didn't ViVi and Paolita stay back quite a bit?

Yes, sometimes.
The best was the Olympic final when both teams stayed back. Women's Doubles should have ended right then and there.

I played ping pong for hours and I'm ready to go for this match. Just need to kill an hour and fifteen and I'm tired.

You're not!
I'm reallllllly annoyed with players challenging 3 inches out calls at the end of sets. Players should have X challenges for 3 sets and then additional challenge if it goes in 4 or 5 sets.

I turned on at 5-5. Had doctor's appt so not expected in work quite yet, but should really leave soon...a great finish though. Nole! As I said, he's learnt from his missed opportunities at the USO: he only had that one chance at the end of this set, but he took it firmly.

I just got home from work. I'm supposed to go out for dinner in 2.5 hours but will put that off if this is still going on then. This is the only time all week that my work schedule and the Aussie schedule have agreed with one another. And what a time for them to coincide!
Djokovic... he has a funny shaped head and his eyes are probably too close together (as a result of the oddly shaped head). Yet, I still find him attractive. This perplexes me.

So, Nole has won 8 of the last 9 games...wow.
And really, Nole's only weakness right now seems to be the occasional tendency to play it safe...his first BP in the last game was such a conservative rally. But Fed just isn't hurting him - Nole's not just hitting winners, but he's tracking down everything Fed throws at him.

My commentator has apparently "never seen the ball whiz passed the net at such speed!" before. "The balls coming off Djokovic's racquet are just incredible!", he tells us.
In other news, my commentator either has a penchant for exaggeration or is new to tennis.
Fed breaks back.
Sad face.

So yeah, my prediction was off by at least 2%. When Federer failed to serve it out at 5-4 I immediately knew he would lose. Something's not right. He's playing like he did against Janko = badly. He's looking tired and uninspired and ... old. Djoko does well and he's amazing but this is not Fed at his best so I'm disappointed. 5-3. Don't see it happening unless major choking commences.

Major choking DOES commence (omg that "dropshot") and Fed still blows.
