Karlsen's best surface is grass so this is a terrific result! Keep it up, Tommy!

Hi all! I've just come back home with a Spanish tennis magazine and there's a section where you can send Spansih players messages of support, this month player was Rafael Nadal, but for next number next month is Tommy Robredo If you're interested on the e.mail where you can send your notes just PM me and I'll send it unless administrators allow me to post it here! I don't know how all about privacy works so.....

that Tommy lost to Schalken today, and at his hair!! Not as drastic as Hewitt's crop, but not pretty to my eyes. What is it with these guys when we hit the grasscourt season?? Wish they'd leave the close-shaves to the lawns. Tommy will probably be disappointed having fought back from a break down in the first and been a break up in the second, but Scheng always looked the likelier winner to me. Still, he's had a few matches to find his grasscourt feet, so that's good. And btw, why is he seeded BELOW his entry-ranking for Wimbledon? I thought he'd done well at the Ordina open for the last couple of years - doesn't that count in his favour?

Well, Kazandra, you know the Wimbledon seeding committee. They still see Robredo as a "clay court specialist" and refuse to actually give him a fair seeding.

They seed by formula, and some players below him have even better results than Tommy (Clement and Malisse). It's mathematical, nothing he could do. Anyway, too bad for Tommy, but Sjeng was always going to be tough. It was a good week! Now on to Wimbledon!

I can only add that the glimpses of the match I saw suggested it was a fine one. I certainly remember one lob hit by Tommy that left Sjeng wondering what the hell was going on. And if you Hurley care, Tommy did not change his shirt but changed his hair cut. The hair is much shorter than at RG. Rather cute

I heard about the haircut...I do like a nice thick head of hair, but I'm sure he still looks super ;D

Thanks for that, Hurley. I suppose there's method in the madness, but it just doesn't FEEL right, knowing that Tommy made semi's at Ordina open the last couple of years...grumble....whinge....oh well, never mind. I'm not too fond of the short hair myself, but hey, it grows, so sooner or later we're all happy! And Tommy never looks anything but cute anyway... Good luck to him at Wimby - I kinda think he'll need it if he gets to round 3....
