:lmao: Speaking of bad pictures...or perhaps the better word is 'unfortunate'... John Baldwin Jr. and Rena Inoue compete in the pairs free skate during the Smart Ones Skate America at Mellon Arena October 23, 2004 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Matthew Stockman/Getty Images)

Make that: Roman Kostomarov. He kinda reminds me of Rainer in some pictures: Erm, he's OK but he's not blonde or have blue eyes.

I can't see ANY of those photos by clicking on them. Refresh doesn't do the trick either. Regardless, I assume that you're um-ing at his ugly costumes? He also got his hair cropped too short. Blech. Hopefully he will look good by mid season again.

Yes, his outfits are hideous. Well, IMO they are.
I have no idea how I got that getty images picture to come up with img tags (can you see it? the 'unfortunate picture' one). Or else I'd do it again.

I can't see any of them, but I know what his costumes are this season, and both are totally YUCK. The long program one is supposed to be a ship and the short program one... who knows what that one is supposed to be.

what has mullet man been doing lately?

Mullet Man will not skate in the Grand Prix's. He will skate in the Euros in the Worlds. He's also been doing some exhibitions or something, and apparently looks good. I'll do some digging on FSU and get back to you about that.

I don't watch ice dancing... aside from Borne and Kraatz, I never have.

As far as I know, ice dancing isn't shown on TV during competitions (but its been awhile since I watched ice skating, and of course only have US coverage...). But I've never seen pairs skating where it seemed like the pair spent any amount of time crawling all over each other in vaguely sexual ways.

Yeah, ice dancing is creepy ;D (and not a real sport, if you ask Alexei Yagudin ) This has been a great Grand Prix season for PBL (People Becca Likes) Joubert, Weir, and Buttle all won one ;D The fourth went to Sandhu, which should make Layla happy, wherever she is

Yeah, ice dancing is creepy ;D (and not a real sport, if you ask Alexei Yagudin ) Ice dancing = ballroom dancing on ice, IMO. I wouldn't consider ballroom dancing a sport, necessarily, but it is an impressive skill. But even the ballroom dance I've seen isn't that down and dirty

But even the ballroom dance I've seen isn't that down and dirty :red: :red: If you're talking about the China Cup, maybe you're right. :red: None of the top pairs competed here. :red: In fact I think Ice Dancing is the most beautiful one right now. Better than Men's singles and much better than pairs and women's singles. The figure skating world is like this: the top 3~5 players/pairs are performing arts while the others are doing acrobatics (and beyond the top ten the performance could be very poor). :red: The only top star(s) in China Cup is Xue Shen/Hongbo Zhao in the Pairs. :red:

The cover says, "Evgeny Plushenko: I won't need fate/destiny!" Subtitle: "The famous figure skater [verb related to "wait/expect", I can't see the first letter], that right now he is not prepared for a serious relationship"
Interesting pictures. I'll try to translate some of the Russian if you guys want to know what the article is about. There's something about his apartment, and his vacations on the pages with text.

The people over at FSU are gushing over how hot they think he is.... again. Uh... a big whatever to that :red:
Joubert, Weir, Goebel, and Sandhu have a nice little show down at the French Grand Prix this week. Joubert has a habit of crapping out at home, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him off the podium.

Weir finished first ahead of Joubert in France. Joubert won the free skate after splatting his short program, which is nice. He usually does splat at home, so it's nice to see that he got on the podium. Sandhu's long program was a total splat fest and he ended third.
