I like his pic with FA cup too! But, his smile does not look natural with those fans! lol you have a point there!I kind of noticed but maybe the picture of him as captain with the cup was one of sheer joy and couldnt help but smile so wide!or maybe it was forced coz he's a busy man At least he has his arm round them or his hand on their shoulder lucky people some people dont

Ahh, he looks like the touchy-feely type (all the better, I say! ), another thing he has in common with Jarkko (lokon's pic = ). As for his smile, well, I suppose after awhile you have to force yourself to smile for your fans -- and maybe he doesn't know that they are dying inside!

yep maybe its a Finn thing that they are so sweet! I dont think he realises how big he is over here you know I mean hes the captain and stuff but Im not sure he realises just what an important player and fan fave he is even though Anfield sings his name every game!

Sami heading for the showers *faints* after being sent off after 3 minutes earlier on today "I thought the sending off was harsh and that it could have been avoided. Sami was distraught because he didn't even think it was a penalty. I would have liked to see how my team got on going a goal down but keeping eleven men on the field. That's the regret I have from today. We won't be appealing against the red card though." Gerrard Houllier (manager) skysports It was interesting he dropped something then picked it up and kissed it as he walked down the tunnel.Strange considering he didnt have a wedding ring or anything on. The tackle: yahoo

awww I found this it cheered me up a little and made me smile :)It was after scoring the wonderful winning goal against Auxerre a few weeks back
Goalscorer Hyypia was happy to grab the winner.
"It is a great result to come here and play against a quality team" he said,as the big Finn joked he had scored in a similar fashion in training on Wednesday.
"I did it in training yesterday, just ask everybody!"

can you tell Im upset and need to keep posting good things about Sami? Riise hailed the Reds skipper one of the best defenders in the world and vowed his leadership will see them through Thursday's Battle of Britain - from huddle to final whistle. The Norwegian stopper said: "I have no doubt Sami is one of the world's best defenders. He is the perfect captain, takes responsibility and gives everything for the team. "When we go into the huddle and have our brief pep-talk, Sami is always boss. Everybody respects him because we know he always gives 100 per cent. "If something needs done, Sami is the one we talk to because he goes and does it. I like that about him. "I have already learned a lot from him since I joined the club. "If I've made a mistake in a match I ask Sami what I should have done and he gives me advice. "He is a guy who holds everyone together when we need him most in hard games and tough atmospheres."

I know I was in shock for ages afterwards! thanks I had myself settled nice and comfy ready to watch and 3 minutes in and he was gone! but the worst thing is he misses the next 3 matches! thats what makes me most upset because he is the captain, our leader as you can tell by earlier quotes

found a clearer picture than yesterday!A little bit of good news though on the ban it looks more likely he'll be banned for 1 match rather than 3 but its not certain yet.

Aww, makes me want to run up and hug him 1 match is certainly more fair than 3 (though still a pretty exhorbent punishment ), so I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya!

I know wouldnt we all want to run up and hug him Ive been reading a couple of sites and it says probably 1 match.A straight red card usually means 3 matches but because it wasnt particularly vicious, then thats probably why Hope it makes him feel better anyway

Poor Sami! It must be very difficult on him being such a good captain I hope he will only miss one match.
