You can tell how tall Sami is in this pic? The one on the left is Owen and sorry don't know the guy in the middle. They were at a press conference in Hong Kong where they will play an exhibition match coming Sunday (??). And Sami wore a pair of sandals. They were all very tired from their trip. It was rumored that a Liverpool fan paid about US$130 to buy 2 tickets (which were provided free to Liverpool fans) to watch Liverpool PRACTICE.

The guy in the middle looks like Djimi Traore. Sami still thinks he's on holiday! ;D though they certainly don't go with his training gear!

They just finish an exhibition match in Bangkok and flew to Hong Kong. Not yet settled in their hotel and were ushered to the press conference! Poor guys! I think Sami not yet had time to dig up his shoes from his luggage. Oh, and I left out they almost got mobbed in the airport

Yuk! So Liverpool has a lost and a tie so far this season? Thats right, its been a bad start to say in the least. Lacking up front today Im afraid didn't know what to do with the ball but defended well when we didn't have it. We needed to aswell otherwise we would of started the season with 2 losses. Im disappointed today.

And to top off my already fanastic day it appears Sami's place is under serious threat. With the return of Stephane Henchoz and the great play of Igor Biscan, it looks likely he could be dropped. His 30th birthday is only a week away and he's not getting any quicker. He made a few mistakes on Sunday and appears his time may be up soon

Oh, NO! What would he do if he got dropped? Well he'll stay and fight for his place but usually once Houllier drops you, its for good Its definately the age/pace problem. I don't want him not to feature, Im gonna miss him unfirtunately, it doesn't matter who you are. Jamie Redknapp was the out of favour captain, he was sold. The captain after him, Robbie Fowler had an argument with Houllier and was sold only a few weeks later. He has his favourites too One of the papers called him error prone yet for the past 5 years they've been saying how amazing he is and now this

I think this is rather harsh (as you would expect from a tabloid ) I wouldn't say he flopped anyway I dont trust everything I read in the papers, least of all The Sun but its not just here its been printed. I hope he doesn't listen to any of this www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2002390000-2003450656,00.html

Well I think his career is definately going to pot. I love Stevie and everything but this is just horrible for me I cant believe they took the captaincy away from him! Gerrard new 'pool skipper England midfielder Steven Gerrard has been appointed captain of Liverpool and will wear the armband for the first time in Wednesday's UEFA Cup tie against Olimpija at Anfield, the premier league club said. Gerrard, a product of Liverpool's youth academy, replaces Sami Hyypia as skipper after the Finn's indifferent start to the season. Manager Gerard Houllier told the club's website on Wednesday: "Stevie will lead the team tonight and in the future. "I have thought long and hard about this. This is not something which should be seen as against Sami. He has been a good captain for us. He has lifted six trophies as captain. "But I have considered a number of issues. Firstly, I think Stevie has certain leadership qualities which I spotted very early in his career. "When he was young, all he needed was time to mature. Now he is 23 and he is ready. There has been a maturing in his game and his personality." Houllier, who said Hyypia had accepted the decision without any bitterness, said: "The second thing is I think this decision will help Sami's game too. I think he was ready to take on too much responsibility at times." Liverpool will be without injured England striker Michael Owen for the second leg of their first-round tie. The teams are level at 1-1 after the first leg in Slovenia.

Oh no What's he going to do now? Be a vice captain. I think its just insensitive to make him hand over his captaincy while he hasn't been playing his best. Talk about kicking someone when they are down
