So ILR what do you think about that young Everton guy? Pretty good, eh? Shame Mornar didn't put that last shot in the net, that would have been a great laugh and well-deserved punishment for the French after that hand-ball equaliser. Rooney.....I doubted him before the tournament because he had a bad season at Everton and I didnt think he'd be able to handle the pressure. I am so happy that he appears to be proving me wrong He has looked very impressive so far. Im glad Croatia didn't win. It means we could afford a draw against them now in the last game.

Totti Rightfully banned, what he did was disgusting. I never liked him anyway.

So Croatia lost? Just as well, it's what I expected after reading this thread and listening to the commentators. FRA vs CRO was on FSW this afternoon (first free-to-air game I've seen) so I was able to see a bit of it. The Croatian goalkeeper is cute but like Becca, it's hard for me to know what's going on when there isn't decent year-round coverage.

Nope, Croatia and France drew 2-2. Mornar had a brilliant chance to win it for Croatia at the end, but thankfully he missed *whew* France really haven't impressed me at all this year, they haven't played like they can do. I dont think they'll win it. But please dont quote me on that

French were lucky once again, they should've lost this match. Although Croatia didn't deserve that penalty, but they had some chances at the end and that last French goal was a result of a Croatian mistake.

Beat me to it, Emma I didn't see England's match, but Rooney seems to be the new English revelation. Wasn't he the one that got England the penalty against France?

He's quite suprised me to be honest like I say as he had a very average season with Everton.

Hehe Well Croatia were lucky to get a penalty. Zidane's free kick was deflected. In a way, this was the best possible result for England.

Yes he is the youngest player to score Lee And Gerrard should be happy to score, after his error on Sunday. There are so many reports of him going to Chelsea. I hope its not true.

I like Totti, but he got what he deserved. Mostovoi has been sent away by his coach because of some stuff he said ;D
The French have to improve if they want to win, but luck seems to be a bit on their side.

Swe-Ita 0-1 after first half. Should be 0-3, Sweden in general sux and Italy is totally superiour. Zlatan and Isaksson are good, otherwise: Right-flank Center midfield Left flank: in defense ok in offense Central defense The Larsson :red:

Ibrahimavic's goal was very good. At first I thought he had headed it, but it was a great flick. Italy will probably feel hard done by though, as they did play the better it has to be said. Vieri's heading was very dodgy tonight

OMG!!! 1-1 after a magnificent goal by the Z-man. We were so lucky, lucky, lucky, Italy really called our defensive bluff. I've never seen them miss so many chances. On the other hand I've never seen Sweden create so many chances vs. a team like Italy. Well, if you want entertainment, watch this Swedish team. I was dying a million times during this match Zlatan Isak the goalie Our managers really went for it tonight, at the end we had four forwards on But they need to change the right flank for the next game. Bring on Lucic and Jonsson(the WC 02 bogeyman who actually was really good when he came on)! Now, let's bring on the big vs Denmark That match will bring the Swedish-Danish relations back to the good old 17th century style, ie WAR!!!

Aphex, the Swedes were very brave and continued to have a go at the Italians, who shouldn't have taken off Cassano.
The Italian goal was a very good finish though Mr.Underwear charged in like a idiot and was exposed by Panucci and that is not is not a good thing.
Even Sandy Peters played well and the Italians actually played football tonight and Gattuso and Pirlo were great additions.
The Swedes were shown up their weaknesses, it was only when Henke dropped backed back to the midfield, he was effective and that was a great goal from Zlatan. I wish we had someone that good unlike "Orange Boy" Carew.
The Swedes were lucky for sure, as they were outplayed for 76 mins of the match, but they showed some balls and got rewarded. Who do I go for in a match between Sweden and Denmark? I will have to think hard about that.

So I'm a little late to the England party, but today I watched the international news channel. They carry ITV's news from Britian and Rooney was all over the news. So he's worth a ton now that he's the youngest to score a goal in Euro competition? Interesting.

Who do I go for in a match between Sweden and Denmark? I will have to think hard about that. Well, Sweden's sucky defense on the wings fits Denmark's game like a glove . I mean that's their standard tactic to go down the flanks. Man, the Swedish managers really need to do something about that problem, we were so lucky against Italy, they use our right flank as an autostrada for crosses into the box, Vieri missed 4 really good opportunities and he usually scores in one or two. We should bring on Lucic as right-back, Mjällby as defensive mid-fielder and take Mr Underwear by the ear and make him defend as he does in Arsenal.

Hup Holland! Go Latvia!
Looks like Seedorf and Sneijder are going to start tonight. Don't know about Seedorf, but Sneijder is one of the best Dutch players imo.

I'm not even going to analyze this match. It should've stayed 2-2, that would've been reasonable. I don't understand why Robben was substituted, he played awesome and Heitinga didn't deserve that 2nd yellow card.
Czechs have to beat the Germans now, don't think that'll happen.

I agree with you Francine, for that match a draw would have been a fair result . I also think substituting Robben was a mistake, Holland would've scored again with him still on. Strange the coaches never learn not to be too defensive too early . And the red-card was very, very harsh. I guess Advocaat's days are numbered, eh? Now, boring Germany probably will go through . Those guys truly don't deserve it, they don't know how to score. Shame Latvia didn't punish them. Hopefully the Czechs also hate the Germans . All in all I think Holland vs. the Czechs was the best match of the tourny so far

Indeed, the anchors and the reporter were chatting about the rumours of who wants him, or should I say, who is willing to pay for him Chelsea topped the list, of course, followed closely by Man Utd, but the reporter was pretty sure the European clubs wouldn't just fold their hands and let an English club get him. Sounds like it could be a hot topic, especially if England manages to get out of RR play.

Grrr I'll be so disappointed if he goes. But having said that, 2 of my fave England (well, and overall) players do play for Chelsea so I cant hate them that much But I suspect that somebody is going to buy Rooney, and Everton need the money so will probably accept.

Yeah, the reporter was sure that Everton would not be able to afford Rooney after his performance vs SUI. Sad, but true I suppose.

Yeah, the reporter was sure that Everton would not be able to afford Rooney after his performance vs SUI. Sad, but true I suppose. They're offering £31 million and £125,000 a week which is just ludicrous. But, he's already said he wants to go to Chelsea, so he looks like he will despite our new manager Benitez flying out to Portugal to dissuade him. You can't say he hasn't tried. It is a shame when the smaller teams like Everton can produce big name players but then they have to sell them. Happens all the time.
