Penalty kicks are horrible. They run around for 120 minutes, exhausting themselves, barely sniffing the goal... then, it's decided by a bunch of short kicks, which is about the equal of flipping a coin.

Southern Euroboys are hot.
Fucking Rooney, this was all his fault.
As long as anyone left beats Brasil, I'll be okay.

England can't win a penalty shoot-out even when its practically handed to them. What glorious failure.

Argentina is usually great with penalty kicks, Abondanzieri, the goalkeeper who had to be replaced during the germany match due to injury, won many many tournaments for boca by saving penalities.
It is a shame he got injured.

France !!! I hope they win now. And I am glad England is out. I like World Cup fever, but people here seemed delirious.

Nobody cares about the world cup anymore. But Ger-Ita was quite good. I almost feel sorry for the German. But not quite.

I don't like either team. Boring.
Please move the World Cup to somewhere not Europe every year, so South American teams can win.

I thought I read South Africa lost it already, and the US is hopeful to get it. Because soccer is so darned popular here.

I hate this. Zidane's not even out there with his team to accept the 2nd place medal? I don't understand this World Cup business. But congratulations to Italy. Rome is exploding!

Wow, Willow!!! And so here we have it: the way Zidane will be remembered forever around the globe. Such a shame. Poor France, everything's been going wrong for that country ever since they lost the Olympics bid to London a year ago.

"Zidane ceinturé par Materazzi sortait de ses gonds en donnant un coup de tête dans la poitrine du défenseur de l'Inter."
