My picks to qualify from their groups:
A - Germany, Poland B – England, Paraguay C – Argentina, Netherlands D –Mexico, Portugal E – Italy, Czechs F – Brazil, Croatia G – France, Switzerland H – Spain, Tunisia
I would like to see a Sub-Saharan African team get in, but I think Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire are in groups that are too tough, and the other countries blow.

I agree with all your picks except for KOR instead of SUI and UKR instead of TUN.

I only care that the US loses every game and finishes dead last like they did in France.

Aren't the the reigning Euro champs? Anyway, I don't think they have good young players to support geezers like Larsson.

Sapa, what is the scoop on the Argies? I've seen some of their players on club teams and guys like Riquelme are great players. Why is no-one fancying them? Head cases? Internal dissension?

Ah yes, Greece. Thank you. Sweden did something good in recent years, I think. Or maybe they didn't. ;D

Sweden is in England's group, correct?
Therefore, they need to win. Damned hooligan fans need to suffer painful defeat.
Oh, and go IRAN.

Dont worry lee lí
There is no way on earth yeanks come out alive of that group, italy and czechs are a lot better, and ghana is slightly better too. They lost to b morocco, lol.
Brin yi
the issue is Argentina is in the group of death, the netherlands, the serbs and ivory coast are all very good teams (netherlands being excellent), there is I would say a 40% chance of Argentina not coming out of the group. Argentina lost in the first round the last time too (another group of death) so, as ferrero would say, there is a lot of pression.
We dont have a good goalie, and we have 2 great defenders (ayala and heinze) but the other 2 are below average players. The coach didnt call zanetti, who is one of the best players in the world, no one knows why.
Still, the team is very good, a contender, but it could be better.
I dont like Riquelme btw, I think he is too slow, and has bad endurance, I would rather have aimar.

Thank you Sapa, I understand what you are saying. You are probably right about Riquelme but he has great skills and might do a lot of damage if marked by slow defenders with bad endurance.

Yes, Riquelme is very skilled By the way 3 traitors Pernia, plays for Spain Camoranesi, for Italy Guillermo Franco, for Mexico If any of them play against Argentina, and they beat us, or celebrate a goal, they will be duly assasinated.

Nice start to the tournament. The Ticos fought pretty well (although their defense blows) and Ecuador is giving teh Poles fits.

Picking Ecuador has been good for me so far
My father was right when he told me that polan had a completely talentless team.

They have more than a shot to beat the hometowners. Germany showed some vulnerability at the back. Conversely, Poland showed zilch up front. A fascinating contrast in styles.
