It's the Patriots and Giants in the Super Bowl. New England didn't look good but beat San Diego 21-12 while the Giants beat the Packers 23-20 in overtime in a game played in brutally cold weather.

I believed in Eli. And he made the next 2 weeks a little less annoying... maybe.
New York vs. Bahstin or Brady vs Favre, Oh He's Just Havin' Fun Out There Let's All Cheer For Him!
I don't know which is worse. And I can't completely avoid ESPN for the next week due to damn tennis. Blaaaahhh.

Go Giants. Just win.
To be honest I haven't watched a full game of American football since '01. I loved Baltimore that year, and they were magic.

Look for the Patriots and Thomas Patrick Edward Brady Jr. to throw 6 TDs in a 56-10 championship performance by the greatest football team in history.
Then, Thomas will impregnate me.

I think Tom Brady has his hands full with his supermodel girlfriend Gisele Bundchen. In a surprise I think Tom Brady with throw a touchdown pass to his backup tight end Kyle Brady.

Ha! D is playing great. Fucking Antonio "Mary" Pierce...if not for his shitty penalty, we could be tied. As it stands, I loved that last drive: Brady falls on his ass on 2nd and a sack on 3rd. NEP is my AFC team but they must go down! I can console Thomas Patrick Edward Brady Jr. later. In my mouth.

Also: it is true, I am in my room watching the game alone while one roommate cleans her room and another bones her fiance (not here). I attribute this pathetic state to a combination of (1) Daniel Plainview-esque misanthropy, (2) location relatively far away from people like my bar-hopping UMD friends, and (3) poor choice of occupation which has led to a class of friends with whom I don't really enjoy spending time.
I feel fixing (2) would change (3) for the better and alleviate (1).

Look for the Giants to upset the Patriots 20-17 in Super Bowl 42. I didn't get the score right, but the Giants shocked the world winning the Super Bowl by 3 points! And the Giants played great defense against New England to end their undefeated season.

What a great prediction! You probably came closer than anyone else in the world. Thanks. The main thing I saw in New England is that teams were playing them tough late in the year and in the playoffs and I figured the Giants defensive line could rpessure Tom Brady and they did. New England had the ball and a 14-10 lead late in the fourth quarter and went 3 and out and gave the ball back to the Giants who then went on their Super Bowl winning drive with some amazing plays.

Eli has been on fire in the fourth quarter during the playoffs. I knew if he kept it close and aired it out, it would pay off, but the move that won them the game was when he extricated himself from that tackle with 1:00 left and hit Tyree on the helmet. That was a legendary escape and it allowed him to become a legendary QB with a Super Bowl ring.

That catch Tyree made is the greatest I've ever seen. That's like impossible to do.
If Elisha can win a super bowl, JP Lolzman will next year. I Billieve.

They showed this bowl thing on BBC2, which was sort of funny because they don't have commercials on the BBC, so every time I looked at it there were just people standing round on a pitch talking to each other. That, essentially, seems to be 90% of what American football is.

Not only was that catch notable, but so was Serena Manning escaping what looked like a sure sack on the same play (if memory serves). I raised my eyebrow.

I had to do a double take when he wasn't sacked, and then that basketball leap and awkward catch = ;D Did anyone else watch the beginning of the half-time show? When the lit-up phallic-shaped guitar headed straight for the heart. It really looked like a penis going in for the kill. I can't believe they let that one slide. For me, it was 10 times funnier than Janet and the boob.
