Poor Yi was stuck with the women's rankings after I did the men's. I'll leave them to you next time.

It was so weird. I remember thinking in my dream, "So, Kim and Justine each drop a spot? How can this be?" I never remember the good ones

Hey, Pierce almost won the French and US Opens last year. It's just hitting me now!
What is wrong with women's tennis!

Villiams is down to #32.
Other than that, nothing of importance. Tati moved up a few spots, but that's it.

I disagree. Yulia Beygelzimer has moved into the Top 100! She won $50K+H Petange and is now #99 ;D

(32) V. Williams and S. Williams would look so cool.
But, of course, we'd get 14243124 mentions from Tracy and Pedophile about how Venus is soooooo much better than her ranking. Always injured. Blah blahaslg

Dementieva returns to the top 5. You know, if you throw out her AO 1r loss to Schruff (what is it with her losing to mediocre German players ....) she's had a very consistent year which is unusual for her. The early bombouts are mostly gone this year. She is my darkhorse for the USO.

Martina will surely be in the Top 10 after US Open. Viva.
Demented has been more consistent this year, and now I do see as one of the best 5 players in the world. But, legitimate slam threat, no. There can always be another 2004 RG or US Open, but that's all.

There can always be another 2004 RG or US Open, but that's all. Well, her last two years at the Open she's scalped Davenport, Mauresmo and Capriati. This year she has wins over Justine and Sharapova on hard court. I don't think she needs a fluke.

Lindsay in slams. Mauresmo was still her usual suckage self in slams.
That Maria match was a bad test, because she played about as awful as I've ever seen her. Demented still needs a lot of things to go her way to even make the SF.

This year she has wins over Justine and Sharapova on hard court. I don't think she needs a fluke. She also got demolished by Golovin and lost to Patty in a very shitty match. I agree that she could do very well at the US Open, but she's starting to get hyped a bit too much.

She's got the chops to do it, but hey, she might pull a Petrova, who knows?

It seems the Jank will threaten for a top ten spot by year's end too. She's #12 in the Race and does trail Dinara by 300 pts, but it's not that hard to see her making that up at the rate she's going.
