I sound retarded in that last post. Baaad typing.
Hingis has moved ahead 5-2. Remember when Dechy was two points from the final here?
Bardina ... has a breakpoint. She might ... win a game.
Or not. 5-0.

Ouch. Vasilisa was double bagelled. Curious, has she ever played on Center Court of a Slam before? That isn't so bad, really. Most good players go through a thrashing like that during their development. Of course, so do most bad players.

Once I start watching this match, I know Maria will win. Please self-destruct. Leelee, your watching Maria's tough match helped pull her through. Thanks. Please make sure to watch all her matches in Melbourne. ;D That was truly a herculian effort by an exhausted Maria to pull that match out after she had almost lost it. No one can ever question her heart on a tennis court. But she needs to get some rest and then start to hammer her next couple of opponents so she can head into the second week with some real confidence. Hurley, Sharapova was up 5-1 on Safina at last years French Open before she collapsed in that match. What brutal gamesmanship Brinyi? In that oppresive heat and the players not being match tough yet any player should be allowed to take as much time as allowed for a medical timeout. Sharapova did that. And if Pin had done that I would have understood.

What brutal gamesmanship Brinyi? Since you immediately launched a defence you knew full well what I meant. Thankfully she didn't succeed in freezing Pin (who was about to serve to stay in the match) and it turned out not to be a factor in the result.

Why does Camee bother with a serve motion. Just hit a forehand if you're not going to try. Sometimes I hear that player X or Y "serves like a club player". Hyperbole, of course. But Pin seems to have never been taught to serve.

Brinyi, Maria used the rules to her advantage as most players would have if they were folding in the horrific 120 degree plus heat on court. There was no brutal gamesmanship involved.
