"She took it to Mauresmo."
"She took the net away from Mauresmo."

Ashley, what a shame. And ESPN decides to show us a tape of the Roddick match from the first point. Even though the match is still underway, LIVE.

ESPN is really awful. It just gets worse every year. Like a few nights ago, the HOUR of bullshit with Agassi and then with Gilbert. Ugh.

I'm getting Roddick-Ancic live. I had such high hopes of Ancic, but he's been blowing since I woke up and started watching. Oh, but he has 2 breakpoints. What can he make of this? Amelie lost. I hate passive Amelie. And her draw was so do-able. Hmph. Na will crush Tina. Ancic breaks.

LOL. She will not. Rain Oh, it turned out to be a sprinkle. They're playing again and Ancic leads 3-0 in the fourth. Andy isn't exactly thrilled. After the Razzano and Sugiyama double whammy at the majors last season, I've become such a pessimist. Heck, I thought Nakamura had a chance at the upset before that match. Though Radek will be in the stands this time, if that helps.

Six sets from the title for Shahar! Highest-seeded player in the bottom half is #7 Dementieva :red: Hopefully Williams will go down so we'll have two very nervous quarterfinals.

Wait. In the immortal words of Blind Melon, no rain. Ali...you're quite crackheaded tonight. It was spitting for 5 seconds while they sat down. I loved the fat girl in the 'No Rain' video. What a great track. I know that track. Does that make me very old? Andy breaks back. Ugh.

Harloo was "eating" soup and nearly dropped his spoon when "that shady Mary Carillo" said Serena could dominate if she applied herself.
Thoughts?

The fun stuff starts happening on Friday night, of course. Of course, this only increases the odds of Serena making the final... which would kill all positivity.

But can she dodge so many "dangerous players" in a row? She did lose to Bammer last week. One has to think her fat ass can't handle six capable players in a row.

This Dementieva-Vaidisova match just became extremely important.
Also, Dear MJF. It is true that Harkleroad did suffer from a lot of pressure by American media, which led to burn-out and a premature retirement. Kind of like when you said she would finish the year in the Top 20 after she LOST TO MAGUI SERNA IN THE THIRD ROUND OF ROLAND GARROS?
Love, Hurley.
P.S. Idiot.

You never know... especially with all these inexperienced kids playing in the biggest matches of their life. Playing the "mighty" Serena Williams, and dying.
Jelena must win tonight. If she plays anywhere near the level she did in Sydney, she'll win like 3 & 3. But, my hopes aren't high. Fatigue will catch up to her sometime this tournament...

The Safarovas and the Peers might get nervous playing Ree in such a big match. They don't have the experience to handle the situation.
