I just hope that neither gets "OMG I AM IN A GRAND SLAM FINAL *shits pants*" sydrome. I don't think that Rafa will, but hey, you never know.

It's time for the favorite to win again, and easily. It's like an every-other-year thing now.
Apparently it's the first all-lefty men's final at RG.

In the open era. Apparently it's been about 59 years. 49?

Rafa shows all his nerves as he breaks Puerta in the opening game Oops he just double faulted 1st point on his serve!

Good hold from Rafa, 2 break points saved. An early observation, Puerta's backhand looks to be struggling against the high topspin coming off Rafa's forehand.

That injury break was what you needed, Puerta. At least tie-break in the first set.

I would like to be seriously annoyed by that, but I must respect his effort. STill - ROAR. I'm taping and going back to bed.

I wish Norman could stop saying, "He must become tired soon!", about Puerta every other minute.

Oh my god I've been reduced to Many congratulations Rafa, a truly worthy winner. I must also commend Mariano Puerta on an excellent effort, I thought it would be one sided, especially after the start Rafa made. And he fought so well in the 4th set, a 5th set would have been fitting but I'm so happy for Rafa.

Awesome match! Awesome winner! Awesome finalist! Btw: do you think it was planned that Rafa won both Rome and MC so he could bypass the MC champ always beating the Rome champ at RG jinx?
