This is what I posted in my Michel group about the match: Well, not surprisingly, Michel lost today. However, he really gave Ferrero all he could handle! 7-5, 7-5, 6-4 is a respectable score and much better than I was expecting. They showed a few points here and I was impressed. Micha was serving well, moving well, hanging on with Ferrero through the end. He hit a backhand into the net on match point, which I believe was during a deuce on his serve. This really bodes well for the grass season, and he is well aware that he has points to defend. Nice to hear he was having a good time at Rosset's match! Glad to know he was enjoying himself after his loss. I'm pretty sure he was very pleased with his effort today. I think it gave him confidence to know that, fresh from injury, he could hang with the best of them. Here are the match stats: Match Summary 1st Serve % Ferrero 48 of 95 = 51% Kratochvil 66 of 114 = 58% Aces/Double Faults Ferrero 6/5 Kratochvil 3/2 Winners (Including Service)/Unforced Errors Ferrero 25/64 Kratochvil 29/81 Winning % on 1st Serve Ferrero 35 of 48 = 73% Kratochvil 41 of 66 = 62% Winning % on 2nd Serve Ferrero 26 of 47 = 55% Kratochvil 25 of 48 = 52% Break Point Conversions Ferrero 6 of 13 = 46% Kratocvhil 3 of 4 = 75% Net Approaches Ferrero 3 of 6 = 50% Kratochvil 14 of 26 = 54% Total Points Won Ferrero 109 Kratochvil 100 Fastest Serve Ferrero 186 km/h Kratochvil 189 km/h Average 1st Serve Speed Ferrero 166 km/h Kratochvil 165 km/h Average 2nd Serve Speed Ferrero 140 km/h Kratochvil 134 km/h That aces/double faults stat is nice, the serve percentage is great, break point conversions is amazing!! As you can see, Micha had more winners (and errors, but everyone has more errors than winners on clay), and his serving was quite equivalent to Ferrero's. This really reassures me that he's on the right track after a frustrating few months

First of all concrats Stanislas Wawrinka for winning the RG juniors Final. He's the first swiss to do so after Heinz Günthard in 76!! a.blick.ch/PICS/HBAGBe1ayfz.jpgsource: www.blick.ch/PB2G/PB2GA/pb2ga.htm?snr=52736Then concrats to Jean-Claude Scherrer for reaching his very first MD of an ATP event. To bad he lost in a hardfought match against Burgsmüller. Also Yves Allegro made it again to the MD in Halle. As for Ivo Heuberger, Marco Chiudinelli and Fabian Roetschi all missed the quali. Ivo in the last round in a pretty close match against Frederic Niemeyer. Michel Kratochvil, George Bastel and Marc Rosset will all play in Queens. Good luck to all of them!!

Stani is a cutie. Sadly, I'd never even heard of him until now. On tv they didnt even say who won the boy's title, only that the Amer lost Or maybe they really couldnt say his name. Its nice to see the Swiss making some noise.

Rosset def. Nieminen 7:5 7:5 (sorry Hackie)
Somehow Nieminen has to control his nerves. In both sets he was a break up and always serving for the set when Marc was able to make the rebreak and to finally win it!!
Well done Marc!! Good luck in round 3!!

Well Michel vs. Seb. has been resheduled to Center Courte due to the withdrawl of Todd Martin (Chest injry)
Unfortunately Michel had an early break and never was able to get close to a rebreak. In fact he always strugled to held serve whereas Seb. won his games pretty easy so it's now wonder Michel lost the first set 6:3
Now good luck for the second set Michel!!
Allleeezzz keep fighing!! Nothing lost yet!!

Well the swiss had mixed results in the qualies. The only one making it to the secon round was Ivo Heuberger. Good luck today Ivo.
Unfortunately Bastl lost his match where I thought he should be able to beat his opponent. Oh well better luck next time George.
Also Marco lost. This didn't come unexpected as he was playing the nr. 1 seed. But when I checked the scores I could hardly believe how close he was to make it to the second round as he lost 6:7 6:4 14:16!!! Gee Marco so sorry you didn't make it. Hope you have better luck next time.
