MEP is through. I didn't know Brengle is a redhead! But you're right, the Tour is short on them. Remember that interesting redheaded French player who so famously took a set off Serena?

ViVi lost to Jidkova. Erakovic got estoned (apologies to Naraka). S.Dubois beat a Brit, always an impressive accomplishment on clay. P.Suarez. E.Tamaela. J.Namigata. J.Widjaja. The Zak! The Berserkerette! O'Laru! Ma. jose!

I daresay she still is.

That was a great match. Pitko was really motivated because she was pissed that the sisters vibed her by the coke machine or something like that.

I didn't know Brengle is a redhead! But you're right, the Tour is short on them. I didn't know about Pitkowski. Wasn't Pizzichini red haired as well? But, like Matevzic, all retired. This leaves Kirkland, Nociarova, Uhlirova and Brengle AFAIK.

Hmmm. Jidkova gets another has-been in 2Rq -- MJMS. Dubois vs Bacsinszky. I spelled it right without cheating for the first time ever.

I knew someone would be able to come up with Pitkowski's name! What a great message board. MJMS is no has-been! But Paolita is. Nice to see Steph get an easy win, for once. Even though it'll just be one.

If LiveScore is right, Big Akgul won again! Another 3-setter. She's one tough cookie!

Perebyinis lost the only epic three setter so far (8-10).

BTO will hopefully be and not deprive Olaru of a spot in the draw. Meng-Meng had no difficulty with the Laotian Anne K. Akgul the Giant vs Great Arn in the final Q round. OOOHH!

An interview with Vaidisova was posted in WTAW and it seems she's fit enough to play.

Spelling Nightmare is on a roll as well. The first time I saw her play, I described her game as "kind of like Misa Krajicek's", and incredible as it may seem I meant that in a good way.

Just when I was thinking Brinyi had lost all interest in his beloved Berserkerette Sofia, he gives her a again! Whew! I hate change. Poor Steph. I hope she's looking into colleges; I don't see a big future for her in the pros, sad to say. Melanie Gloria and other Canadians are doing really well in US college tennis programs -- in fact Monika Dancevic is already on her 2nd school; she's moved to U of Georgia.

MD is out, quarters are
Cult favourite Juju vs Reenus the Force of Nature (hohoho) JJ vs Nikki V Lucky Ana vs Sveta Mauresmo vs Augusta Imperatrix
Hohoho look at me making up silly nicks.
Anyways
JJ hasn't got JH or Reenus on her quarter, but otherwise it's stacked, with Penis, Lena D. and Petrova.
Lucky Ana got the luckiest of draws (Danka in the 4R I think), but what else is new.
Augusta may meet some pesky opponents in the early rounds, so the claycourt practice she's getting at Istanbul will be even more useful than it initially seemed.

Heh, Peer-Sweta in the 4r again, it seems like they've been together in every decent draw this year... we don't like Shahar as much now, though. Grar.
The Vak and Muller are seeded. Wow. We say these things every slam since 2001, don't we.
Maria vs. Loit. Do we get another hideous 3-set win before bullshitting to another GS Final?
I'm fully expecting the worst with this slam, and I know I will get it.
So, Serena d. Maria in the final.
