If Roger loses, will he exchange his Gold-trimmed outfit for SILVER-TRIMMED in his next event? ;D If he wins he'll probably turn up next year wearing a gold-trimmed cravat. |

Um, that's actually the most tennis I've watched in one sitting the entire tournament. So... all of a set and a half, or thereabouts? And overall, I'm not horribly dissapointed. Just in the result.

Oh, well. Another Wimbledon over, another Venus/Fed special. At least I don't *hate* either of them, though Fed is definitely bugging me lately.

Walked out of bathroom for MP, then peed on TV.
Rafa...this is the most disappointed I've ever seen him look.
Fed crying a lot. I mean, I like Fed, but meh, this was the wrong result.

Rafa looked like the better player until 2-2 in the fifth. I mean...last year, I couldn't have actually imagined that he could push Rog like that at Wimbledon. And Rog was playing really well, too, unlike in his RG finals. Rafa was out-hitting as well as out-grinding him.
And for Rafa to be able to do that, after getting so comprehensively screwed by the weather and the scheduling and the five-setters and (possibly) the injury in the fourth set...Rog won today, and it was deserved, but I think Rafa proved emphatically that he is very, very capable of beating Rog here.
