Stan! ;D
I gave him a really good shot at the upset, but not that easy. I see our serve was working well today. Nice winners to errors ratio too. 4R is so doable now.

Lucie's gone. Grr... I don't know if she'll ever make that step to top 10 threat. She will. Lucie just needs to stay healthy, add a little beef and a little more self belief and she will make the top 10 someday. She has the game. Does she have the heart to realy want it? I can't answer that. But she does have the game. Lucie has improved alot in the last 2 years but has kind of levelled off this summer. Next year will be a big year for Safarova. Safin being routined by Wawrinka makes me sad.

Congrats to Djokovic and Stepanek for putting on a 5 set thriler to remember. I didn't think Novak would win but he did. He's such a gutty griity kid. And their sportmanship after the match was wonderful. By the way Mardy Fish is in the fifth set against Tommy Roberdo.

Safin being routined by Wawrinka makes me sad. I don't know about Lucie... She definitely has the offensive game. But, her 2nd serve is poo and she struggles playing defense. I don't enjoy watching Safin, at all. I wish he'd just retire... this is nothing new. TTC shows all the Masters Series events, and since the top 8 seeds get byes... Marat is usually the "feature" match of the 1st round. And I'm tired of seeing him give half-ass performances like that. He's such a waste.

Seems Elena can't put the ball in the court ... Bammer is the wrong girl to play when you're having an off day ...
That would be a horrible loss for Dementieva, though. I do hope it doesn't happen.

Leena, Safin is better than you think. And Marat will be inducted into the Intenational Tennis Hall of Fame someday! Safarova has alot of potential. Let's see how her game develops next year. Fish is up 4-1 in the fifth set after saving 2 match points in the fourth set.

When Demented sucks, she REALLY sucks. This has been the case her entire career.
I know Safin is better than I think. If he wasn't such an assclown, he'd be top 10 at least, and would have defeated Stanislawa easily today.

I really cannot see how Bammer def. Dementieva can be considered either an upset or a surprise in 2007. It's just disappointing. I mean, 1 and 2? Dementieva has had so many deep runs here ... to lose like that in the third round? Not good. Meanwhile, Cornet out to the early advantage against Jankovic.

I also needed to cut back my internet time and concentrate on my moving from New York to Florida. Zvonareva is playing Serena tough in the first set. Dementieva lost. Cornet took the first set from Jankovic. I knew Cornet was good when she beat Kirilenko at Wimbledon.
