Ah! Thanks for the reminder -- the doubles final is on USA Network today. I forgot all about how the men's final has to await the end of some random football game.

I hate men's final day.
My unofficial last day of summer.
NFL Week 1 or 2 squashes it in importance.
It's as if tennis goes out with a huge whimper. Blah.

Federer needs to be stabbed, for real. This might be his fourth straight US-Wimbledon double.
He makes the men's draw so boring and predictable.

Just like Justine needs to surpass Serena.

Chan and Chuang are so cute. But they're getting crushed in this 2nd set, 5-1 with Big Dinara serving ... uh-oh, Dinara and Nat are getting nervous ... 30-all now ... 30-40 ... Break! 64 52!

My prediction is Federer over Djokovic in 4 sets. I also think this will be the last year he wins 3 grand slams in a seaosn because both Nadal and Djokovic will become major threats for Federer in the grand slams the next couple of years.

Lost opportunities to win the first set for Djokovic. When will someone other than Nadal on clay buck up against the great Federer in a grand slam final and win the first set making Federer doubt himself and struggle more than usual? As for Maria Sharapova, it makes no sense why she's at the men's final. But I guess attending the women's final was beneath her.

Djokovic can make this an interesting match if he wins the second set. And he's leading 4-1 after dropping the first set tiebreak. But I don't have confidence that Djokovic will hold serve against Federer serving in big spots.

I'd rather see Nole lose a set 2-6 than to have him get ahead & hit DFs and bad errors again ... it's excruciating. cat, when is the last time you saw a woman player who lost early attend the women's final? It just doesn't happen. I don't like to defend the annoying robotwoman of tennis, but you forced me into it.
