Monfils vs. Ferrer. Ugh, hate it.
Safina, please don't lose. Elena must not win the title.

Safina's making a lot of errors. But Demented is solid today.
Kanepi vs Kuz is closer than expected.

Safina is getting her butt kicked at the moment. Not good.
Kanepi was *4-2 40-0 up.

Demented choking. Had several break-points for *3-0 but made dumb errors. Now 2-2.

Followed by a terrible service game from Safina.

Ja, Safina is getting pretty good at this deathbed recovery act.

Safina just played the worst dropshot in the history of tennis. On set-point.
6-6. Safina seems to be out of breath.

Oh ELENA.

"Mental Giant" Safina takes the set with an inside out backhand on the line.

Elena blew it. Should have been 3-0 up, made UE at match-point, made tons of errors afterwards. Still making them right now.
Safina was TIRED at the end of the set and probably still is. So Elena could easily capitalise on that, if her brain wasn't shut down.

What a collapse. Demented hitting everything long now.

This was Elena's last chance, and she knew it, I guess.

Wait, were you rooting for Elena or against her GoDom?
Bepa collapses into UEs against Elena. Elena collapses into UEs against Safina. Safina collapses into UEs against the Kuz?

Against.
Gonzo just had 0-40 on Federer's serve and huge chances on each of the bp's. After losing the game he killed his racket, unsurprisingly.

After losing the game he killed his racket, unsurprisingly. And a ballboy put it in the garbage! I'm sure some fans would like to have it!

Bepa collapses into UEs against Elena. Elena collapses into UEs against Safina. Safina collapses into UEs against the Kuz? Does it depend on who is so stupid as to take the lead in the match?

Demented had it won, then got Mauresmo-esque late in the 2nd.
I'm still lost on how Safina can be a clay courter while lumbering around the court.

btw, does anybody see Djokovic doing damage against Nadal, or nada? I haven't been watching... can't figure out if I have coverage. Balls. I've also been seriously distracted by the Stanley Cup Finals and am still mourning the loss of Justine from Tennis Land. So...really, can this be something special, or is Nadal superman?

Nadal is superman imo.
While I find Monfils' antics very irritating, the way he's dismantling Ferrer is quite enjoyable. Very smart and mature performance.
Of course Fed will thrash him, only to get thrashed himself by superman.

In three of the last four slams we have had three different Frenchie semifinalists. Men's tennis may have no depth, but French men's tennis does.

Monfils in a major semifinal. I read this as if it was over and then got confused, as my scoreboard appeared to be a game behind. Then I realized that you were sharing an idea, not a result. Regardless, it appears that old man Gasquet is being left in the dust. Again. ;D
