Day 8╜

Post by Traveling Man on Jun 30, 2008 13:13:09 GMT -5
I'm torn between Stan and Marat.
Thrilled with the result of Grassquet-Murray so far. What was Gassy bitching about to the chair umpire after he won the second set?
Thrilled at the Rainer comeback - especially considering how far he's come since I last saw him play (Hamburg '08). I don't know why but after reading the Hurley-Chloe exchange on Rainer sexiness, I remembered that picture of him on a table with his ass showing. That one was quite popular on the World back in the day.
Thrilled with the randomness of the women's draw. It's going to be an all-Sistahz final so may as well enjoy the insanity on the side.
Thrilled with Tammy's first Wimbledon QF.
So yes, I am thrilled.

"6-3 - An angled backhand volley from Gasquet brings up a fourth set point, and the Frenchman puts another backhand volley just in on the left to seal the second set! Murray is penalised for an obscenity that was missed by the umpire but heard by a line judge."
Come to think of it and to continue the theme, Wussquet might be the sport's youngest has-been.

"Suddenly Gasquet looks leaden-footed, a little nervous perhaps, and Murray seizes on the opportunity to open up a 0-40 lead. Three break points duly arrive, and the crowd are roaring their encouragement. Gasquet saves one with an ace, then another with a sublime drop volley, but then a double fault from the Frenchman hands Murray the break back!"
