Malisse is a wasted talent with issues. I don't hate him but can't be bothered to care either.
Roddick is a non-factor so it's just a pointless match anyway.

I never did like Malisse. But waking up to find out Santoro won is just ! And Fat Dave LOST? But Dokic, that's fabulous! Even if it does put another nail in the coffin of Chakvadeadze, as if more were needed.

Santoro/Kohlschreiber was amazing stuff, probably the best match of the first week. Dokic/Chakvetadze was...of lower quality, shall we say, but rivetingly dramatic, if only b/c you felt that both of them were on the verge of total meltdown, and of needing to be stretchered off to the mental hospital for Ye Olde Psyche Evaluation.

Well I hope ESPN2 will have the sense to show Santoro but I seriously doubt it. The other day they just showed Fed's match over and over and over again. Not sure the Chak/Dok dramatics would hold up well in a replay, though.

Awww! I love Lucie. I wonder how far Dokic can go this year? It's got to be a lot more motivating to win a couple Slam matches than to win a 25K in Italy. She's capable of working hard and she does have a steely mental strength WAY deep inside that could start being more apparent before long. I wish she'd get a real coach and add to her game, though.

Dear teenaged boy tennis players,
Please refrain from wearing sleeveless shirts until/unless you get some muscles in your arms. Would we have enjoyed seeing Tim Henman going sleeveless. Enough said!

No one, especially not GoDom!
ESPN2 as always is making the most annoying choices of matches to air. Basically replays of what we saw in the early evening in the Eastern time zone, and then straight to --- THE BRYAN BROTHERS! No Gnome, no Dokic even! I thought maybe they'd show her for the hotness factor they love second only to Americanness, but No.

That Dokic/Chak match lived up to its horrific expectations. WozDen will force Dokic to create all the pace. Oh, man. Jelena will not win 5 games.
Fat Dave, same old shit. He is such a waste of talent.

I'm watching 3rd set Dok-Chak and it's a lot more entertaining than I expected. Dokic is hitting some nice winners here. Maybe my expectations were just so low that anything would look better, but for a player ranked around 180 I think Dokic looks pretty good. And she's really looking pretty composed and focussed in this 3rd set.
But, no, I don't expect her to win any sets against WozDen.
So which guy in the stands is the bf and which is the coach?

I was ecstatic with Dokic's win. She's breathing life, with her feel good story, into this otherwise dull Open on the women's side. Thankfully, we've got a great field in the men's draw, which is what I'm focusing on. Ofcourse, rooting against the Sistahz will be fun but that's about it, since Dementieva or Jankovic will never win.
