Jankovic better get a brain transplant before that match with Marion. If she's content to sit back and let her opponent dictate like she was against Sugiyama, she'll lose.
I don't believe much in her chances here, suddenly. Btw, Petrova is 5-1 against Vera, who has looked as good as anybody thus far. If Petrova finds herself in the semis, or even the final, I will puke.
Dokic could beat Kleybanova, and fuck, she could beat Safina, too.
No, it's too horrible to think about.

I wish I could watch all the men's matches, except for Roddick-Robredo. On the women's side, Cake vs JJ I could take or leave, but the others I wish I could see at least parts of because I want to see what Cornet's grown-up game is like, but Bepa's match I can only bear to watch if Bepa wins. The funny thing is, I originally loved Petrova. When I read that she tore a crucifix necklace off her neck and angrily flung it away because she was losing a match one time, I fell in love. She was my favorite Russian for a while, back when I loved almost all the Russians.

I think I'll wake up to watch the Jankovic match. If I sleep, I know she'll lose and we can't have that - does that even make sense? Haha.
Don't knock the Dok! Jelena all the way. [/random fanboy] Kleybanova needs to go now; she's done what she was required to and now there's no need for her to stick around. Petrova should have already gone, since she hasn't been forgiven for letting AO 2007 happen.
Berdych and Baghdatis for the wins, please.

I want A;ize Kelybanova to play herself into shape No one mentions her size, though it exceed many players size they do talk about. My theory is she's too heavy to mention it, but maybe they'll get around to it if she loses a match, you know, if she really got in shape imagine how good she might be. I saw her when she was just fourteen at Indian Wells, back when her Mom traveled everywhere with her. Her Mom was scary anorectic, and Alise was a tall gangly kid. Was serving in the first set, during Smash's prime, maybe up 4-1 with points to go up 5-1, when Anna started moonballing her ruthlessly and climbed back into the game and took the set 7-5. Her Mom left and paced outside like a sleek cat. Anyway, her Mom doesn't travel with her anymore, and she must eat for two, but I'm excited to see her seeded, playing better and better, and if she decides to lose weight, that would be good, too. But I like what Dokic has done with herself, and I'll have a hard time rooting, probably I'll root for both. I think Dokic is completed several developmental impasses in her choosing a coach and boy friend who are brothers. i love that, after her killer father, and poor male choices, this seems just what the doctor ordered perfect. Of course, I'll never forgive her for beating Martina Hingis at Wimby, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Unconficted about the rest of today, sort of, well among the men, go Baggy, go Rogi, go Andy R...and the women, go Vera and Safina and JJ.

Oh, freudo, you'll never forgive her for that? I loved that match! I remember Dokic's great 2nd serve in that match. And she was so fearless in the face of #1; how often do we see that from a qualifier? Not to mention Hingie was at the very pinnacle of her brattiness right then. Then as a fringe benefit, she then pulled out of the dubs and we got a break from hearing endlessly about the "Spice Girls of tennis" for 2 weeks! So many reasons to love that match.

An early Cake break!
Jankovic is lacklustre. I've taken the reports of her poor play so far with a pinch of salt, because she often scrapes through early rounds and still winds up in the final, but she just isn't doing anything at the moment.

Awful. But Bartoli, wow! Now it's reminding me of JH vs Serena at their final RG meeting. I just wish she'd stop smoothing down that form-fitting top all the time. We don't really need a closer look at her residual lumpiness.
