I likely won't get to see any of the final weekend. Sad.

At least you're not going to miss a big surprise on the last day or anything.

Dang, I wish I could see this Ivanisevic-Stich vs Kafelnikov- Muster match! Every year I forget that NBC is going to be "covering" the men's semis. Chloe, why won't you be able to watch?

On the Jr. front, Sloane Stephens lost today. I hope Pervak will lose today, too. 18-year-olds should be playing with the bigs, not Jrs.

First set to Soderling. I wonder if the match is any good?

Janie, I have plans almost the entire time that I'm home, which is not very long at all.

Oh! Good point, no sense wasting rare Canada time watching tv. Well, a lot of years I end up missing the SFs and final too, for various reasons. And never had any big regrets about it afterward.

Okay, NBC is going to start its taped show with the beginning of Soderling-Gonzo. So, Fed-del Pony will not be shown live, which I had been foolishly hoping for.

A complete shocker in the final. We haven't had one of those since 2005. Now this feels like Roland Garros.

Soderling is now at least 13th in the world. With not even a QF in another 500 tournament or better.

Pony's forehand is unprecedented in tennis. Somehow he manages to make perfect use of his height instead of struggling with it.

Yes, but NBC could care less, preferring freeze-dried other match.

Wow, how does Gonzo lose this? He's up 3-0 in the 5th on the tape and has won the last 5 games, I think. Is he going to CHOKE?

That Sod-Gorila match was a blast. Drama + High Quality + Minimal Choking. From 1-4 down, Robin played amazing.

I wonder if anyone on the planet placed a bet on a Soderling-Del Pony final, because it sure looks like that's what we might get. And the best part is, it's going to be great tennis if it happens!

I'd like to see how Roger is losing this match so badly. I've watched all of their last 3 matches, and this is just stunning.
I think this RG has officially quashed the "Men's tennis is worse than the women because it's predictable!" nonsense for a decade.

Well, the main reason is that Federer is completely useless on the return. He has absolutely no idea what to do with the heavy kick serves to his backhand.

He has absolutely no idea what to do with the heavy kick serves to his backhand. Wait, you mean it's not just when his bete noire Nadal does it? You mean it's an actual weakness in his game? THAT CAN'T BE.
