Add oil: Lisicki Azza Venus Who cares. But I guess Fran loses to Venus 3 and 2 without much of a fuss while Demented is likely to threaten to win at least a set and then go on and lose 25 points in a row. It would be annoying. Schiavone then.

I do care about the CC matches...
Sabine is loves, and Azza has a chance if she plays significantly better than the shit she has the last 2 rounds, since she knows she can beat Ree.
But, realistically, it would be a major shock if the top 4 seeds didn't advance. Then 2 & 3 advance. Then, who cares. So, no expectations this time, at least.

Sabine has a great chance. Safina's only played real scrubs and Chokomomo, and struggled against all of them. She looked like she was playing well vs Amélie, but we know how MauMau's passive loopy stuff can be conducive to that.
She'd be a far better SFist, too. Dinara would get thrashed by Venus and never have a chance, and it would be embarrassing for everyone concerned. Sabine would probably also get thrashed, but there wouldn't be the same stigma, and she'd hit enough flashy winners for people to be happy.

Totally agree. I hope she can deliver today.

Depends on how she serves. If she continues to serve like she has been, she wins. If the serve falters, I have a feeling the rest of her game will unravel.

She is. I began following her results when she was ranked about #450 (mid 2006?), but only because I had found pics of her in the archives of some pervy phtographer, so maybe I shouldn't brag about how "I liked her first!".

I first heard of her when she beat Davenport in Fed Cup - still not a fan or anything but have been pleased with her results. Lisicki is cool and gets bonus points for THE BUMP!
Very close games so far between Sabine and Safina.
Edit: Oh, and A-Rad is serving to Vee at 0-5. Lollers.

Villiams leads 6-1. What will the second set be? I predict 6-2 because Vee loses focus for 2 games.

Pathetic. Lisicki missed an absolute sitter at 6-4 and then Safina follows it up with a DF. Apart from that, excellent TB from Lisicki.

Lisicki blows a set point by hitting a sitter forehand wide, but Safina compensates by gifting her a double fault to lose the opening set tiebreak 7-6.
I wish they'd hurry up. I have to go out in another two hours.

It really is. The end of that tiebreak, ugh. And I'm not bothering with the other match.
Dinara's 2nd serve is so poor. I don't know how she misses it like she does. Infact, Dinara and Venus' serves flat out suck. Ugly form. They can just hit it hard.

Kind of looking forward to Azza Silliams.
Should be a good match full of high quality tennis.
