Silliams has disastrous footwork today. You are right. Serena - footwork = Elena + serve

Even though I haven't posted in years, I got a seven day suspension from TennisForum for "offensive bad reps." I didn't use any profane or sexual language, all I did was badrep some posters with father's day jokes. That's it. I have a lifetime warning on such offences. Apparently the purpose of the rep system is to be nice to each other. Seriously, why include a bad rep feature, which is, in itself, an insult, and then ask people not to be insulting? This is part of why my post count has dropped off there. Where's the fun if I can't tell people just how fucking stupid they are being?

Second serve ace! I haven't been so nervous for a match since I don't know when. Even though, we know Serena will win. Ugh.

Good hold after three bad errors.
There was nothing Elena could do in the previous return game, she just needs to give herself as many opportunities as possible, and then get lucky or something.

Food for thought: Roland Garros Clay Jun 7 2009 QF Svetlana Kuznetsova(7) - Williams(2) 7-63 5-7 7-5 Point? There's no way Demented is winning this. I'm just glad we had a good match for two sets, at least!

Unlucky, but also stupid. No need to take so much risk on these shots.
Are these shrieks coming from Serena's stepmom?

There is a point. If Elena hangs in there, Serena will get tired again in the 3rd.

Are these shrieks coming from Serena's stepmom? Yes. I sort of love her! And...she has to take big risks, otherwise we'd be halfway through Safina's loss by now.

What is with this bug serving from ED ?? 2nd serve ace ??
Costly double fault in that 11th game, though, it seems.

And could someone please explain what was significant about the challenge? Many thanks in advance. Serena hit a shot that was on the corner of both lines by...millimeters is not an exaggeration. And OMG ELENA YOU ARE SUCHA WHOREKNDWKOWDNODKNW Anyway. That point would have given her 7-6 5-3 and serving.

Serena sure knows how to paint the lines if she needs to.
This match is only lost for Elena if she believes it is. Which is likely.

I am angry with Demented, but at the same time do realize that none of us can be too upset considering she was only supposed to win 2-3 games at best. And you know this is a scripted Silliams comeback, when she saves 4 breakpoints in the final game and holds on to win the set 7-5. She even did the same "Come on!" shriek she did in Melbourne.

Yes, but once you get the point where victory is within reach, it's all about that. And not winning = failure.
Anyway, she held. And Serena is still sluggish. If Elena can keep her out there for another while she will get tired.

3-1 Elena.
No excuses now. This is hers to win or lose.
