But I'm not sure how late can I order ground pass tickets online. Anyone know? They were available for the first Monday today when I checked but am a little short of £££ right now, so need to wait a little longer.
Also, I will be staying with a friend in NJ for a few days but ideally want to stay a couple of weeks so would probably look into some cheap hostel in Manhattan. Would anyone have any suggestions?
Merci!

I stayed a couple of different places by Central Park West one time. I'll try to remember what they were called and get back to you later.

Thanks. Are you going to be back from Coria in September or teaching some place in Europe?
I vaguely remember your qualie reports from some years ago.. the ones where you were perving on Djokocvic or sth.

Djokovic was 17 when I first perved on him. That was in Montreal and New York. My perving knows no borders. Anyway, I can't go this year. I'm contracted until January. Boo. I have to go to an event of some sort next year, but haven't hammered out the details just yet.

Shame. We should totally have a Cult gathering one year though. Get outrageously drunk. and go on a mission to hunt down Dawn Marie. She should be easy to find next year, with her new kid and all.

Last year was the first time I've ever gone where they sold out of grounds passes before I got on site. That was Friday (Day 5) and I was arrogant and got there late. Otherwise, in...fifteen years of doing that, I've never had a problem getting a ticket on the day of.

I also had no issue getting grounds passes the day-of. As for the Dawn Marre hunt, perhaps another year, another slam. Bear in mind, though, that Dawn Maree can be heard and felt, but not seen.

Cholera, there's the Flea Market Cup 100K every October in Pusan. Go. No excuses.
And, yeah, grounds passes are usually always available. The first time I went, I got them on-site. Other than that, I don't know. No interest in stadium seats, anyway.

I always thought a ticket for Arthur Ashe, row ZZ is basically the same as a grounds pass?

Yeah, but it's more expensive. One year it was actually LESS to buy an Armstrong ticket than a grounds pass, and I did that. But that was the only year they were stoopid.

The only time I'd ever want to watch a match on that dump, would be from a hospitality box.

Oh and by dump I mean Ashe. Armstrong is cool.

Cholera, there's the Flea Market Cup 100K every October in Pusan. Go. No excuses. . Last year I worked too far from the site. This year I can probably go in the middle of the day. Unless they decide to schedule me for three ridiculous shifts, like they did the month that the challenger was here. Boo.

I went to a match on Ashe once. It was silly, but my friend wanted to see Agassi live. Fair enough. I think that we sat it out for a set.
Anyway, I will have to plan my location next year around tennis. It's been way too long.

I need to do a tennis tournament again. I've never been to a Slam. A masters series event and a Tier I/II should count for something!

I'm sad that I never got to attend a Tier III-V. Not that there were many opportunities in the States. The closest is probably Acapulco.

Most of the following tourneys are no more. Usually they died the year after I went there.
GS: Wimbly TMS/Tier I: Hamburg, Berlin Tier II: Hannover, Hamburg Some 25K's and 10K's in and around Hamburg Some DC and Fed Cup ties.
Also Bundesliga and Natl. Champs.
Actually all the WTA and ATP tourneys I went to are dead. :red: Next week is Hamburg but it's downgraded and will probably be gone next year.

I'm the only one to attend a tennis tournament in.....errr......Asia? Haha. TMS - Toronto. Tier I - Dubai (2006) Tier II - Dubai (2003) I made it on Eurosport, so that should count for something too! I almost attended the Aussie Open one year, but backed out because of work. And now I have grad school for 2 years so no running around the world!

Psssh. Grad school is when you're supposed to run around the world. You won't get to in the future!
