Wow. Lisicki saves a SP at *5-6 with a terrific 23-stroke rally and then takes a 4-0 lead in the TB, with Caravane in meltdown... ...and then loses seven straight points and the set, the last with a DF. Duelling meldowns! 3-0 O-Rog!

According to tfworld, Nastya considered a comeback, but then decided not to because it was too much effort. In much the same way, I considered watching some tennis, but then decided to watch Vertigo instead because I've never seen it.
Kim Novak > Kim Clijsters.

Switched to the Safina mess to find Rogowska conceding her break lead in the 3rd set on...wait for it...yes...a double fault. Sigh.
Nastya probably has the right idea. Stay well away.

And just in case anyone thinks that Rogowska, a player without a weapon that should challenge a top 100 player and shouldn't even be in this tournament, is somehow playing the match of her life:
12 DFs. 18 winners. 60 UE's.

Ugh. Quintessential "fighting" win...Rogowska made all the brave plays and memorable winners in her *4-4 game, but Safina somehow won it.

OMG, yes. Our commentator just kept raving on and on about her. She's amazing!!! How come she's not a WTA tour regular yet? She's playing a spectacular match!! Making a name for herself!!! We'll DEFINITELY hear more from her in the future!!! Ugh.

Szavay lost to Peer...tough match to call, but 2 and 2? I called the La Razz upset in the TTC contest. Pretty obvious she was due for a weird result, and Wickmayer has a big (if not overly impressive) game. Sevastova got the easiest draw in the field and made it work. How the Pokeable One defended s'Hertogenbosch, I'll never know; she's sucked for 14 months now.
