Also, the rest of the schedule.
Sunday: Men's SF: Lesser one (Nadal) at 12pm on ESPN2, Federer at 4pm on CBS. Women's final: 9pm on ESPN2. Seriously. Hahaha, fuck CBS. Idiots.
Monday: Men's final: 4pm, Your Local CBS Secondary Station.
Fuck CBS. Fuck the USTA. This is so incredibly inept.

End of a match DNOC SNOC
Why DNOC in the middle? Weird. Too bad Woz vs Wicked is not the night match, that would have been hilarious.

Past that, we're good through the end. What the h*ll kind of schedule is this? They scheduled the S. Williams/Clijsters semifinal for 8pm EST when the first semifinal could be over by 2pm EST? I guess the USTA is trying to bleed every penny out of the U.S. Open by having seperate day and night sessions on Saturday when they are over a day behind schedule. I only hope the tournament ends on Tuesday now. This isn't Super Saturday this is muddled schedule Saturday.

How many times will their SS be ruined before they realize it's the most stupid thing ever? My guess is 20 times. How many times has Super Saturdasy been ruined by weather? A couple times maybe. We have along way to go before the USTA wakes up and smells the coffee so to speak. Why the ITF can't pressure the USTA into making a better weekend schedule is beyond me. If the USTA is so concerned with ratings they would play the men's final at night and the women's final during the day. Start the U.S. Open on Sunday instead of Monday like they do at the French Open and have the men play the U.S. Open final Saturday night and the women the Sunday afternoon and you'll get a bigger rating for the men even if no American is involved.

The USTA is controlled by CBS with this scheduling, and they're really not in a position to bargain. CBS can easily say "Oh, well we'll show football all weekend. Bye.".
It's unbelievable that NEITHER FINAL will be on CBS. Because there was one day + one hour of rain. Insane. Everyone involved in this decision making, people making 6 figures easily, needs FIRED.

I hope that happens Leena. CBS might deserve to lose the privilage of television the U.S. Open. I'm sure Dick Ebersol the head of NBC Sports would love to add the U.S. Open to his stable of tennis coverage which includes the French Open and Wimbledon. What do you mean neither final will be on CBS?

Yes. Rafa was number 2 when MURRAYSLAM lost. Anyway, crap. That was unexpectedly quick. I suppose it could still have gone that way had they finished it two days ago, but it's balls how it worked out. On the bright side, there's one excuse (fatigue) Rafa doesn't have for tomorrow, so that's good.

That was a nice and easy rain delayed win for Nadal. Just what he needed. Now he gets to rest up for a huge semifinal against Del Portro.
Why are they playing the men's double championship on Ashe Stadium now instead of Wozniacki/Wickmayer? If it doesn't rain the schedule will work out. But if it does rain they will be backed up even more. I don't know what to hope for now. I think I'll hope for a Tuesday finish.

"Monday: Men's final: 4pm, Your Local CBS Secondary Station." What does that mean, "Local CBS Secondary Station"? Most local CBS affiliates will choose to show their local news, etc... at 5-6pm, and thus they'll drop tennis to their "sister" station. Usually one that shows sitcom repeats all day, or something. This happened last year to most of the US. Now, if CBS would have the final at night, this wouldn't be a problem. But, oh no, we can't dare pre-empt "Two and a Half Men" repeats.
