So, I went out to dinner with some friends, and then we all were shooting the shit at my place. And so I put the tennis and OSU/USC on, flicking back and forth, on mute. And when it got to 6-4 5-4, I left the tennis on and put the sound up a little bit.
And then my friends saw the greatest moment in the history of ever.
I mean...I don't even know.

She went on for a while there with a lot of bleeps. If Malisse was suspended a few tournaments, I think Serena should get the same. Which won't happen, of course. Seeing the replay and realising how much Serena was swearing at the linesperson and even threatening to shove the tennis ball down her throat she had to receive the point penalty there. It just happened to be match point down. Will the WTA suspend Serena for the worse linsesperson abuse I have ever seen? Probably. Will the ITF suspend Serena from the 2010 Australian Open? Probably not. But that was the worst case of linesmen abuse I have ever seen in women's tennis. It was horrible and it won't be easy for Serena to shake this off. She should have apologized in her press conference for tainting the match by being defaulted and by her terrible treatment of the linesperson. Cussing at her for a second or 2 at the service line is one thing. But Serena walking over to the linesperson cursing at her and threatening her was stepping way over the line. So the final is Saint (Clijsters) against Sunshine (Wozniacki). I'll be happy for either winner and her fans. Normally I would be rooting for Caroline but seeing a mother win a grand slam singles title would be historic and that's why I'll be rooting for Kim. And Kim deserves the title after beating the Williams sisters. No player has ever won a grand slam singles title by beating both Williams sisters in the same grand slam and winning the title. Look for Clijsters to be the first to do so tomorrow.

My wtaworld posts are being deleted faster than when Road Runner is running after Will E. Coyote. What is happening there? I'm having a tough time posting at WTA World. All I want to say is Serena should apologize to the lineswoman for what she said and how she said it. She did threaten the lineswoman by saying she would shove a ball down her f*cking throat while walking towards her. I have never seen that on a tennis court in a women's match. And for her to curse like that on Arthur Ashe stadium court of all courts makes it even more disspoointing because Ashe was as classy a person and sportman as you could find. Serena's pres conference didn't clear things up at all. She should have started by saying I'm sorry and she shouldn't have to have anyone tell her to do so. I've been a mild Serena fan for 10 years and while I know she has a temper on court I never expected her to act out like this on court and lose her composure so badly cursing like a sailor at a lineswoman. Would she have talked that way to a linesman? I doubt it. Something in that woman got Serena crazed.

You guys ... Hurley is right. That was the greatest moment of anything ever.
Serena was five years off in her reaction. She should've done this in 2004 against Capriati when it was JUSTIFIED. She would've won the match too, because the crew would've been so afraid to call anything close against her after that.
Now I'll point something out which appears to have eluded all. Serena has a HUGE PROBLEM with foot faults. Not making them, but being called for them. Everybody forgot that interview several years ago? The "It looked like you foot-faulted." - "I don't foot fault." - "But it seemed like ..." - "I don't foot fault."
Plus, remember what she did in the second round when she was called for one?
That was perfect. Oh my.
Anyway, Wozniacki might get her first Slam. Or ... Kim will win her second Slam as quickly as could possibly be after coming back, the opposite of her first career where it took 900 years for her to get her first.

No player has ever won a grand slam singles title by beating both Williams sisters in the same grand slam and winning the title. Look for Clijsters to be the first to do so tomorrow. Well, no one except that other Belgian, who did so only 2 years ago at the US Open, cat! Glad I went to bed and missed the latest Serena tantrum. But I'm not surprised that Kim won. The few times I saw her play this week, she was playing the way JH played against her in their USO final; she's taking the ball so early and hitting it so sharply and cleanly that it discombobulates everyone. And we all know that Serena doesn't like to be discombobulated, so no wonder she got pushed past her toddler-level frustration threshold. Congrats to Kim, even though I don't like her. But I'm glad she threw a spanner in the works of the 2009 Great Serena Show. Woz hasn't got a prayer. You could place a bet on that one, Willow. ;D

A. I'm pretty sure I did. If she called a foot fault, she must have seen a foot fault. I mean, she was doing her job. I'm not going to knock her for not doing her job.
Wow. Just wow. Just how dumb Silliams is?
You would think Serena acted like a psycho because she was convinced she didn't FF?!

All of these incidents of Serena's were right at the tip of your fingertips. Hmmm. But last nights incident with Serena was off the charts and her worst ever cursing at and threatening the lineswoman like she did. Blake at the Olympics? You mean when he got jobbed bigtime? James is one of the classiest players in sports and his Oympic ourburst was a one time thing because he was hurt so much by what Gonzales did and how he thought he was cheated by his opponent.
