Flames won 4-3 vs Yotes. Iggy scored the winning goal, a penalty shot. Something that Flames had a hard time scoring before this. If I remembered correctly, they missed the last 2 times but they are not Iggy. It should be 4-2 but with 33 seconds left, Yotes dumped the puck it, Suave left the net to retrieve it but it took a weird bounce right back to the front of the net and Yotes said thank you very much .

Speaking of the flames.. I dont' suppose that you saw the funniest Dion Phaneuf highlight EVER from last week, did you? If not, I will host it somewhere and share. It's so funny that it slays me, even the 2343th time.

Good luck MacInnis!!! Your slap shot will always be on my mind!
St. Louis Blues announce plans to retire former defenceman MacInnis' No. 2
ST. LOUIS (CP) - The St. Louis Blues have announced plans to retire former defenceman Al MacInnis' No. 2.
MacInnis, who played 10 of his 23 NHL seasons in St. Louis, will be honoured on April 9 during an in-game ceremony, the team announced Thursday. The native of Port Hood, N.S., is third among defenceman all-time with 1,274 points. He spent the first 13 years of his career in Calgary and won a Stanley Cup with the Flames in 1989.
He officially retired before the start of this season.
"We are extremely pleased to announce that Al MacInnis will be the last Blues player to wear No. 2," Blues president and CEO Mark Sauer said in a release.
It will be just the fifth number retired by St. Louis and first since the team honoured Hall of Famer Bernie Federko's No. 24 in 1991.

And anyway, I don't know if you guys will be interested in repeating our lots of fun game from two years ago, but if that's the case I created a small league (8 max teams, but willing to start with 4 or 5 already) for us if you are interested. Not much time needed (just a pre-draft to select your preferred players - 30 minutes at the most; and then a couple minutes a day or every 2-3 days to select active players for each round) League data: League ID: 111667 League Name: Cults League Password: avalanche (hhehehehe) Starts on Wed Nov.16 (sign up up to Tuesday if willing to play) Autopick draft (pre-draft recommended) Rotisserie League (counting stats: Goals, Assists, Points, Plus-Minus, PIM, Powerplay Points, Shorthanded Points, Game-winning Goals, Shots on Goal, Wins (G), Goals Against Average, Save %, Shutouts) Players on each team: 2 centers, 2 right wings, 2 left wings, 4 defensemen, 2 goalies, 4 bench players, 2 IR players) Hi Diss, I'll check it out this weekend. I had great fun last time, eventhough my team was miserable. Hope it's not to late to join.

Right before the clip starts, Rutuu gets a hit on Phaneuf, which is why Dion was dropping his gloves and calling him on in the first place. Then Rutuu skates away and ignores him and Dion falls over Rutuu may or may not have tripped him, but it's hilarious either way.

Rutuu may or may not have tripped him, but it's hilarious either way. Just for the record, Ruutu didn't trip him. I saw that several times because the tv ppl had quite a laugh too and they replay it several times from different angles. And Phaneuf got a penalty for instigating, or trying to instigate .

Ruutu, that he is. If you can use a name on Scrabble, he will come in handy.

The perfect team at home comes to a painful death today on route to their first loss. The Canes is losing 0-8 to the Thrashers and 3rd period only a quarter up. OUCH!

I'm watching the Leafs and the Habs on HNIC. The Habs is dominating, yet they lost a PP and a SH goal before getting back to even term. And then Begin on a breakaway shorthanded, Belfour came out to poke check him and ended up getting past by Begin. Steve is like 6 feet in front of a empty net and yet he missed it . I can't believe it I scream so loud, hope my neighbor won't come to check out on me to see what the hell happened.

It was debated on the board I read... see, the gif that I have makes it look like rutuu might have tripped him, but anybody who saw the replays on tv disagreed. So I believe you and them I forgot to add the bit about the penalty, yes that's hilarious ;D

Thrasher is really thrashy these days. Quite a reverse of fortune compare to October.
Same can be said of the Flames. 6 games winning streak, first since 1994. *wow*
And rise from the bottom of NW division to tie with Canucks in the top (but Canucks have 2 games on hand) And probably moves ahead with a win vs Detroit tonight.

Shit Anyone wants to come play with us? Ouch, no hockey game. Don't you usually get some games in one season? Or because of the lockout that your tv network dropped NHL? That's just too bad, the New NHL is even more exciting, you'll like that.

IF anybody cares, Ovechkin was on OTR. I think he's funny. "Who do you like to watch highlights of?" "ME!" ... "so then you turn off the tv when you're part is over?" "YES". And broken english to boot! Wins! lmao. I like him already.

The Pens lost to the Islanders But at least Crosby scored. Though he's rather win. This is becoming a twice-a-week thing, it seems. "Pens lost, but at least Sid contributed". Sigh.

They went to the 9th shooter cos everyone kept missing, one islander even miss the puck when skating down the ice, it's so bad it's too funny.

Flames already tied with us in our conference. Lee, can I say "I told you so"?
Detroit's a fluke, bullying it's conference's weakest links (there's too many of them). It has more wins than Chicago, Columbus and St. Louis combined. No fair. I demand a reshuffle of conference next year.

Flames already tied with us in our conference. Lee, can I say "I told you so"? I'm very happy to receive this 'I told you so' to the team, they were 0-2 for 2 periods vs Wilds but peppered Roloson with 25 shots on goal in 3rd period and who else but Iggy scored the winning goal at 18:53. When you look at the standings in each division, it's a BIG joke.
