Can you imagine if the Sens actually lost to the Jays? They'd be demoted to the third best hockey team in Ontario as opposed to the second... embarassing ;D JAYS! JAYS! JAYS! :banana2: The Jays are the oldest, tallest, and fattest. RAH!

Wow, Lee, where you get that big hammer lmao, Nucks have 10 penalties . They are calling everything and more, and the Flames has two 5-on-3 . Well, we still win ;D. I bet there'll be no PP goal next game. If it's not that the Nucks won, I would be very pissed at the ref. because there's just no 5-on-5 time when you have 16 penalties in 60 mins . It wasn't pretty. Still, every poll out there is predicting that the Flames is going to upset the Nucks. And Hrudey is still maintaining that we won't win. Okay, thanks for your support. (Emmm, I know one game means nothing, but I just don't think we are as fragile as everyone seems to think that we are ). Nieminem is like Ruutu, he has this big grin at the ref. after the first penalty which is obviously a big mistake on his part bcos after that, he just can't get away with anything.

And woohoo to the Avs! Everyone counting us out... Lets make them pay! Exactly how I feel too. It is the world against our team. . Mad @ those so many analysts, columists, experts... all saying that Flames is going to get rid of the Nucks so surely. No offense to the Flames because I know they are a good team and we really have trouble playing teams like their type. But, well, anyway, I just think if my team does lose in this round, I'll likely die of humiliation too :red: .

Swiss playoffs on this side. what a match tonight. The opponents, Lugano (last year's champions) led with 3-0 in the 1st third. SCB (Bern) caught up at 3 all on the 3rd, and had chances, then a stupid mistake from the defender, Lugano steals and shoots. At 3 all play was stopped as people started throwing things into the ice including cellphones!!! It's now 2-2. One more to go and Saturday's game will be played in Lugano. Bern hasn't won the Swiss title since 1997, so hope they do it. *fingers crossed* Might be of interest to you Vera & Lee that the coaches of both teams are Canadians. The Bernese stadium was fully packed. Tickets were all sold out within minutes. (watched it on tv) There was a real fight there tonight, Bern's notorious player, Yves Sarrault, a Canadian, boxed the best player of Lugano, a Finn, right on the face. wham! ;D

I really don't know how people think the Flames can take the Nucks out. By deduction, I think. Canucks minus Bert = nothing. We can't possibly win anything without Bert? It is true in a sense that when he was just skating around and daydreaming during the game, there are many of those days. If he is in the game and not performing, we usually lost. And because he is so big and powerful that him out of the lineup is a big chuck of loss for us. I think my team did collapse right after but since then, they accepted that and they decided to move on instead. They said we can just treat Bert as an injured player which is like every other team has to deal with losing one to injury. But it's not really the case here bcos the Bert incident has a lot of psychologic burden on the team, not only the burden of his physical absence. So I think my team should at least get the credit for overcoming Adversity (that's with a capital A). Anyway, at first I thought it's great that everyone thinks the Nucks is doomed, hence, pressure is off. Turns out that it really bothers me that they got written off . I'm too complicated for myself to comprehend.

I don't have high hopes for Flames but if anyone says Flames has no chances, I will use that big hammer I used on Nieminen.

cellphones. Wow, they really hate the visiting teams Good luck to SCB. This is the team that both Lee and I can cheer for together ;D. it was a pity cuz the momentum was gone, they could have made another goal then, who knows. The Lugano fans aren't known for their fairness. why, on the semifinals against Zurich they burned the bus of visiting Zurich fans. Thanks, guys. Could use some additional cheering & good vibes for my team. i'm off to bed now. get ready for more cheering tomorrow for my other team.

I don't have high hopes for Flames but if anyone says Flames has no chances, I will use that big hammer I used on Nieminen. I do have high hopes for the Nucks, maybe it's just irrational and maybe I'm delusional. But seeing them turning things around is a real boost for my belief. But I guess it takes a faithful Nucks fan to actually have faith in them. I have to say that last nite wasn't a pretty. But after losing the lead in 28 secs in the second period, I was fearful that they would collapse, but they just keep going. I have to say, they played a Flame type game yesterday and not the usually Canuck style. But they did what they need to win and that's good enough for me. Flames didn't play badly at all, aside from their penalty kill which is a disaster in that sense they lost 4 of 6. But the rest of the game, they were their usual self of a stingy never give up team and just being persistant in grinding down the opponent type. I think no one in Vancouver is looking at this series not going to 7.

[once upon a time I actually went to a few games... even saw them in Dunedin for Spring training... ] lol. I'll be civilized as long as my team is winning . k/d. I like the Flames too so I won't be unreasonable. Just wait til the next round when one of us is facing the Stars or the Avs, then you'll see my true color ;D. BTW, they did spot the mistake and corrected that yesterday. Just that it's hilarious they made the mistake in the first place about the Leafs, and you think they know hockey .

Habs They outplayed the Bruins the whole game but still come up short. First SOG in OT and there's the winner . Then I opened up the DC scoreboard seeing that Tompa up a break in the first only to see him losing the next 3 games and the set . Watching Stars/Avs now. Not sure who to cheer for. But when Modano scored, I was quite excited. So I guess I'm cheering for the Stars at the moment. Not that it's a good thing for the Stars . And for my team tonite .
